The popular affordable neighborhood of Park Village adjoins White Oak Park, and enjoys direct street access at the rear of the park. Nearby neighborhoods include Brookstone, Upchurch Farms, Devereaux, and Tatton Place.
White Oak Park offers a picnic shelter, basketball court, and open play soccer field, multi-use concrete court, walking trails, and access to the five mile long White Oak Creek Greenway.

Park Village is situated on Davis Drive, south of the intersection with High House Road. Raleigh is a 20-25 minute drive. The Research Triangle Park, "RTP," is a little shorter. Drive-time traffic may lengthen commutes.

Sherwood Greens was developed and built out by Pulte Homes in 2000--2001. The popular open floor plans and large room sizes promoted fast sales of the homes in the neighborhood.

While having fun photographing neighborhoods in Cary, I like to catch a few images of the neighborhood community ponds, particularly when I can get some light into the fountains that many ponds have. The ponds are often storm water retention basins, and the fountains serve to oxygenate the water, but I still find them enjoyable, particularly with landscaping surrounding them.

Lately I have been beating the drum on affordable homes in Cary, NC. It seems more important than ever to do so, considering the Town of Cary's back-of-the-hand stance on affordable housing.
Cary gets a lot of publicity about the cost of housing, and a bad rap that folks can't afford to live here. I set out to identify some communities and neighborhoods in Cary that present affordable options to folks who can't swing a 3000SF and up "Big Hair House."
