When Good Smartphones go Bad....  It happened to me.
You know, these things are quick.  Very quick.  High Energy.  Sometimes smarter than we are.
My lovely HTC Evo4G phone started listening to voices I could not hear, and I lost her attention.  I tried all the tricks, On/Off, dumped apps, remove/reinstall battery, factory reset.  Yada, yada.  Nada!
And, when I would touch her, anything might happen.  She was utterly unpredictable. Emails all went out to "Qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq" which I think is not a valid email address on this planet.
Jim O'Donnell called me yesterday.  That may never happen again.  Afterwards, the phone called him back three … (28 comments)

sprint: Sprint Jumps the Marketing and Sales Shark, and I'm getting an Evo® anyway! - 05/25/10 03:21 PM
I got this hankering for an HTC Evo.  4G and all, you know?  So, I went to Best Buy last night, and they were too busy to talk to me.
And I went across the street to my local Sprint Company Store, the nice folks who have accepted about $2000 from me in the last 16 months.
"The Closer" loitering up front had to put out his cigarette and slouch into the store to speak with me, so I guess that aggravated him.
I said, "I'm here for two HTC Evo's."
The (C)loser: "Nope. Not until June 4th."
