GOOG DUMPS IE7 How Timely!
I just updated to Internet Explorer 9 tonight, since TMLS notified me today that TEMPO 5 and CoreLogic/MarketLinks fell into line and supported it. And then I saw this article that GOOG is going to dump support for older browsers like IE7.
And I know people who are using IE7 because IE8 is still just too new and untested. And a great deal of the less-developed world is still using IE6. Go GOOG. Sell Chrome to them....
And, "select/copy/paste" is dysfunctional on ActiveRain. More worriesome than AR kerfuffles is that my IDX vender, IDXBroker doesn't yet support … (16 comments)

MarketLinx, our TEMPO MLS solution provider is providing some significant upgrades and improvements! I went to class at the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors building in Cary today for a brief introduction to the upgrades, and was impressed with the functionality being offered to member Realtors.
Possibly most intriguing is the CoreLogic/Tempo Document Management service that is now installed. We can upload documents of all type, except executable files like virtual tours, to storage. Jpeg, Excel or Word documents, pdf, all are OK. There is a 10MB limit per file, and a 100 page fax limit, but no limit on the amount … (4 comments)

Smart Sellers and their agents want to keep a home under contract exposed to Buyers until a contract is free of contingencies.
And smart Buyers want the home off the market so there is no back up offer to rock the boat and undermine their negotiations on inspections, repairs, appraisal, etc.
The rules from the Triangle MLS regarding Listing Status are clear:
"Contingent" means it can be shown. "Pending" means it cannot be shown, although there may still be contingencies.
Contingent : Contingent status indicates that a property under contract is subject to an additional contingency or condition, i.e. "Contingent Sales Addendum", alternative … (5 comments)

While the Triangle MLS TEMPO system is obviously antiquated, we have been given some hope for 2008.
What I want from an MLS solution is easy access to current and historical data, and a platform to organize data, store it, and ship it to my clients and prospects.
We will be upgraded from TEMPO version T3 to versionT5. I'm not sure precisely what that means, but it seems to me to be a later version, and I am quite optimistic that that alone is an improvement. Our T3 version shows a 1997 copyright. Ouch! In "MLS Years" that is about as old as Methusalah.
