youtube: Keller Williams Market Center, Cary , NC: Social Media Mastery with Liz Landry. - 04/13/11 03:05 PM
We had about 50 people in class at the KW Cary training room today for 6 hours or so as Liz Landry held forth on Social Media.
And all I can say is, if you are struggling with social media and have the chance to attend one of Liz's classes, don't miss it.
Topics included Twitter, Facebook, Blogging, YouTube, LinkedIn, some SEO tips, and some etiquette guidelines.  I just gotta do something with my FaceBook Fan page....
Attendance was mostly KW Cary associates, but was open to other real estate professionals.  AR members Cathleen O'Hannigan, Kevin Martini, and Eleanor Thorne were there.  I had … (6 comments)

youtube: YOU tell her she needs to be on FaceBook. I'm not telling her.... - 03/21/11 09:16 AM
YOU tell her she needs to be on FaceBook.  Go ahead. Insist on it.  I'm not telling her ANYTHING, as much as I admire her social skills...

YOU tell her that YouTube is one of the absolute largest networking sites on the internet.  Go ahead.  I'm sure I'm not going to be the one....

YOU tell her she needs to Tweet her videos for more exposure.  I'm not going to be the one to introduce her to Twitter...

youtube: HTC Evo Smartphone video in daylight. - 12/09/10 07:27 AM
After a snowy night HTC Evo video, I wanted to shoot the same route on a nice day to see the difference my phone could deliver.
Finally got the Evo video uploaded to YouTube a couple of days later, and it shows the capability of the phone to shoot video on the go.

It comes out pretty well when the glare is under control, i.e. the sun over the shoulder instead of in your face.  This one again includes Bishop's Gate, and adds a little bit of Giverny, in Cary.
And it is super easy.  Android and HTC worked very well … (5 comments)

youtube: Remember the Telephone? The "Old School" Telephone, with the cord? - 10/01/10 04:13 PM
I showed a home recently to a young couple.  They had to pull together a couple of times after one or the other took a phone call.  Cell phone, of course.  And the teenage daughter texted the whole time.
And we got into the hallway of this early 1950's home.  There was an elaborate wall niche.  With a shelf protruding, and a small arched top.
"What is this?" one asked.  And I seized an opportunity to offer historical enlightment.
"That is the telephone nook.  See the square block in the corner, behind the phone jack?  That is where the original phone plugged in, … (18 comments)

youtube: Are you using YouTube? You just went 16:9! - 11/24/08 11:25 PM
I just popped into Mashable and saw the news that YouTube last night went to a 16:9 video player.
YouTube says that 960 pixels wide will "...better reflect the quality of video..." that we are uploading.
I figure it is a stepping stone to full HD, and I'm looking forward to that.  With $500 camcorders offering excellent HD video, YouTube will have to play along.
Wondering if a commercial-use option will be offered anytime in the near future, since Google is struggling to justify their investment in YouTube??  Easy HD video will be the real estate listing agent's friend, if someone will offer a … (0 comments)
