The Hickory Museum of Art invites you to a Vineyard Drive event on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 9am – 4:30pm. Participants will meet at 9am at Paramount Classic Cars, located at 3030 Falling Creek Road in Hickory. There they will enjoy a tour and light breakfast. Participants will then caravan in their own vehicles on mountain roads to North Carolina’s wine country’s newest addition – the Jones vonDrehele Vineyards & Winery.

On Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 1:00pm, members of the Hickory Police Department will go head-to-head with the Hickory Fire Department in the "Pullin' for Pink" Benefit Fire Engine Pull to be held at Blue Ridge Harley Davidson. While you're there cheering them on, you can sign the pink fire trucks in honor of a cancer survivor, someone currently battling cancer, or someone who ultimately lost their life to this disease. The car show will be held 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 on the SALT Block lawn at 243 Third Avenue NW. The event is open to the public, and there is no charge for spectators. The event features a children’s trike/bike show, Scouts pinewood derby, food court, beer garden, music, event merchandise for sale, raffle prizes, and art exhibition. The fourth annual Viewmont Street Strut, an all day celebration showcasing the diverse nature of the Viewmont community, is happening in Hickory, NC on Saturday, September 28, 2013. The event is designed to allow neighbors to gather and sample the wide assortment of restaurants, businesses and shops that are right in their own back yard. It will also feature many extremely talented artists and musicians who live and work in the area.
