One of the best areas to invest in Real Estate is near Colleges and University's. Due to the shortage of housing in these areas, they can be great locations to start your investing. Just on the South Shore alone, Bridgewater State College and Stone Hill College are have limited housing available, never mind the colleges and university's in the city of Boston which all have limited housing for their students and even some faculty. We receive numerous calls from parents looking to find a place to rent for their sons or daughters and their friends that are attending school together. This is a great starting point for new investors that are just getting started or even for seasoned veterans in Real Estate Investing. Two and three family homes work very well for this. If you are capable of buying a larger property, this would work very well too, you would just need to be more involved in the property to avoid your property from turning into a Frat House.
