Is this really Influence? - 10/29/10 10:47 AM
Warning: Personal Opinions may be expressed here… What probably sounded like a great idea to start – highlighting the real estate industries most influential person, seems to have gone the way of FastCompany’s Influence Project. According to Inman’s Website (http://www.inman.com/news/2010/10/27/peoples-choice-real-estates-most-influential) “Inman News wants you to pick one individual who you think has made an impact on the real estate industry.” “The list recognizes those whose voices and actions have the power to change the industry. Among them are individuals who embody strength, common sense, innovation, ingenuity, perseverance and progress. They include the industry’s brain trust and dealmakers, and those outside the (6 comments)
Comment, ReTweet, Like or Share – Pros and Cons - 10/22/10 10:42 AM
Warning LONG POST! I previously asked (Comment, ReTweet, Like or Share?) what you would prefer a reader to your blog do (assuming they do just one thing). There’s an advantage and disadvantage to each.
Let’s take a look… The Comment What used to be the defining attribute of blogs, the comment was one of the ways a reader could tell if a blog was popular. A blog with plenty of comments and discussion might have meant that the blog was well written, and deserving to be read. With the addition of twitter and Facebook that comment might still happen but not on the blog (7 comments)
Comment, ReTweet, Like or Share? Pick One. - 10/21/10 02:24 PM
I attended a session at REBlogWorld titled,“Is the Real Estate Blog Dead?” It was moderated by the ever smart Rob Hahn and featured an All Star Panel, Jay Thompson, Teresa Boardman and Sarah Stelmok – all of which have blogs that are very much alive and well.
Our posts today are spread out across the internet. RSS feeds, Twitter, Facebook, as well as sites like Digg or FriendFeed. While the information has the potential to reach higher numbers of eyeballs, where they see it and how they respond has greatly changed. To the panel, I posed the simple question… If I came to your blog and read one of (24 comments)
10 Pictures from 10/10/10 - 10/11/10 10:00 PM
I spent October 10th (10/10/10) in San Francisco marching in the Columbus Day Parade, while overhead the Blue Angels flew. Let me just say there's nothing like being in the canyons of SF and hearing the roar of these jets as they fly between buildings. As I was uploading my pictures to Flickr I found a few great groups that were collecting 10 pics from the day. Here's my submission As nice as that last one turned out it can't compare with this one "BOOM!" John K took one heck of a shot! So what did you do yesterday? Got any (9 comments)

Facebook's new Groups - 10/07/10 11:24 PM
I thought Groups were going away? Actually they are morphing into something a little different. Should I have a Page or a Group? That depends. Are you a “brand”? (Most people with a Page are a brand) You want a Page. Are you a kid’s swim team? You may want a group. One of the things that I didn’t like about old groups is that much of the information stays within the group. That hasn’t changed. Here’s what’s new notifications (like I need more notifications) a cool looking group chat thing (but you can't turn just it off) online document sharing and collaboration One (12 comments)
Think PINK - 10/04/10 08:52 PM
I just had something incredible happen. As you know, I offered to make anyone PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All you have to do is email me your picture and I’ll make it PINK. In return, I ask that you support me for Movember by joining my team or donating. If PINK’ing a single person’s profile is cool – how cool to PINK an entire brokerage? That was the idea that Karen Bigos of Towne Realty Group proposed. So we did!
Towne Realty Group of Short Hills, New Jersey – YOU ROCK!!!

Make me PINK! - 10/01/10 11:08 AM
(This would be a great post to Reblog ) Once again, for the month of October, I offer to make your profile picture PINK. All you have to do is send me the image (email it) and I’ll add a pink ribbon and a pink border. Here’s a few from the last few years.
That means you can go from this to this*! All you need to do is email me the photo you want (Mike912Mueller@Gmail.com) with the subject line of “Make Me Pink”. Want to pay me back? I’m growing my first ever facial hair for Men’s Cancer (Movember). Join the Team (as a (3 comments)
QR Code? Use Google's URL shortener and get free tracking! - 10/01/10 03:05 AM
It’s actually part of the new Google URL shortener but it also creates a QR code for you as well! <= That’s the one for this post! You can find the new URL shortener by going here: http://goo.gl/
The result will be your very own shortened URL with it’s own QR code off to the right!
Right click, save to your hard drive and then use anywhere you want. When a user takes a picture of your QR they’ll go to that site. Imagine the possibilities. For instance – I created this for my friend Jeremy in about 10 (12 comments)
