Tuesday, June 30th, begins as a pleasant day in the KC Metro area. The heat and humidity from last week has retreated and now we have "standard" June weather. Supposed to be near 85 today, but not near as humid. Looking forward to the 4th of July weekend. Until then, still alot of work to do. This week has 2 inspections scheduled, 3 closings (1 seller and 2 buyers), 1 listing appointment and various real estate related tasks to assist my clients, friends and family. As everyone should, I am going to try to take acouple hours of down time during the day, sometime this week, to run some errands and do some shopping. The real estate market in the Leavenworth-Lansing area, as well as the KC Metro area seems to be very busy. It is moving season, and folks are moving. I wish everyone a great 4th of July holiday week and a continued prosperous 2009!

Spring Update

Good Afternoon All,

Just a quick update as I spend most of my time on my main website http://www.KSHomeSales.com .

I changed Brokerages in late February. RE/MAX Action, with 2 locations (in Lansing and Bonner Springs) is a growing company of professional REALTORS(R) and I have had the opportunity to join them. I look forward to providing my clients the same "Top Block" service that has come to be expected from me.

I have recently obtained my Missouri Real Estate license so I can provide additional service to my clients who may want to look at properties on the Missouri side of the KC area.

Recent NAR Conference and EXPO in Las Vegas (Nov 12-16th)

I was able to attend the 2007 National Association of REALTORS(R) Conference and EXPO last week in Las Vegas. It was a very enjoyable and informative trip. In addition to viewing the many products and solutions available to REALTORS(R) to assist in their daily tasks, I was able to take many seminar-classes. There were over 140 sessions offered (with a wide variety of topics). In addition to classes, there were many networking opportunities with REALTORS(R) throughout the US and worldwide. I met REALTORS(R) from the US, Canada, South Africa and Australia. The organization/designation functions (CRS, WCR, ABR and e-PRO) were additional highlights as well as enjoying the evenings in Las Vegas! I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving this week!

Day before Halloween Update

It's been awhile since posting my last post; Trying to bounce between this blog site, my Realtown Blog site and my website blog site has been a challenge, and when you don't focus on 1, they all can suffer. That said, the market in Leavenworth County slowed alittle bit over the past couple months; Seems like buyers are taking alittle longer to make their decisions on a property or even whether to get into the game. Interest rates are still very favorable and home prices in the Leavenworth area are affordable. We'll see how the remainder of the Fall season plays out and I anticipate a more "normal" real estate market for the upcoming year. Number one goal is to provide my clients with the services they need to accomplish their real estate goal (whether buying, selling or relocating).

Independence Day/Week Post

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July and can survive the next 2 days until the "weekend". The weather here has been HOT. We had about 2 inches of rain yesterday (mid day), but it moved out and had a nice evening to enjoy the fireworks. Interest rates are still staying very affordable and I believe that now is a good time to make that next real estate purchase. Whether upsizing or downsizing, there are many homes on the market and buyers have the chance to get that home that will really make them happy. Conversely, sellers need to make sure that they price their home appropriately and be realistic in their wants (in the case of equity). Homes have appreciated nicely over the past few years and we are seeing a small pullback in prices; but taken in consideration of the tax benefit and the quality of life the homeowners have enjoyed during this market rise, things will equal out.
