Tonight I attended my first Toastmasters meeting. What a blast!As a child I had an uncle who was very active in his local club but I had never gotten around to going, and even now I need to drive quite a ways to get to even the closest one. This season I’m not taking any classes and Tuesday evenings are free, So there I was one of three guests and the only one that had never been to a toastmasters’ meeting. That is tough, I think if I had to have just one CD to listen to forever I would take a random grab out of Ziggy Stardust, the best of Stiff Little Fingers, and Armed Forces by Elvis Costello, but I would really miss the rest of the stack. Recently California Association of REALTORS® successfully did some heavy lobbying against a bill that would have forced “point of sale energy audits.” To over simplify it, the bill would have made it so that all residential sales would need to be inspected for energy efficiency before closing. Many good arguments were made on both sides of the question.I am torn on the point of sale energy audit issue.
