Last week I read a timely post by the wonderful Deb Hurt on her “One Percent Solution,”I read the post and even though Deb never quite called us out, I took her thoughts as a challenge. And I took the challenge. After all, I won’t even notice one percent on my end while it can make a big difference to someone on the other end. As Deb points out, there are MANY OF US HERE, and the house that Active Rain Built should be done many times over. Not languishing like some overpriced listing. In reply to the annual Green is Red Hot Challenge here on Active Rain, I will venture the idea that Critical Thinking is the thing that is RED HOT IN GREEN REAL ESTATE this year. People are hearing all sorts of things that remind them of the foolishness of the investment market over the last few years, and in response people are THINKING. People are noticing that a five dollar tube of caulk might be the best money that they can invest in their home, but that the best return on investment will always be the little life-style choices like turning (12 comments)

In the last month Amador County has had 61 new listings and 20 listings have sold. The median priced house in the area right now is still under construction but will be a 1800 square foot 4/2 on the market at $284,990 in Castle Oaks.The lowest priced home for sale in Amador County is a manufactured 2/1 in “The Highlands” park with an asking price of $19,500.
