short sale process: Just sold short sale in Westchester County NY - 07/30/10 08:50 PM

I just sold this short sale home in Yorktown Heights NY in 3.5 months. It took about a month and a 1/2 to find a buyer and then about 3.5 months to close the short sale. The owner owed over $600,000 on the home and the sale price of $425,000 was successfully negotiated. More and more distressed sellers are benefiting from a short sale. The average short sale takes 6-12 months to close but that does not have to be the case.
