fun: Drive In Theater Fun - 06/06/08 12:08 PM
Today is the seventy-fifth anniversary of the first drive-in theater in America . It all began in Camden New Jersey. Go to http://inventors.about.com/library/weekly/aa980121.htm
Are you old enough to remember going to the drive-in theater? In elementary school days my family would go and catch a John Wayne or Elvis movie.

Well we are finally beginning to harvest a few things from our little garden patch at home. I seems like just yesterday we were plowing up the earth to plant the seeds. Last night we were able to enjoy a nice little country meal ...yummy.

In Central Texas we woke up this morning before sunup and the ground was covered with snow plus the wind was blowing large flakes so hard you could hardly see for awhile. When the wind settled down our pastures looked like a winter wonderland. I can't remember the last time it snowed

fun: Back In the Saddle again! - 02/17/08 08:02 PM
The tractor saddle that is...In a previous post I talked about how mentally relaxing puttin' around a hay pasture on a tractor can be. This afternoon after we finished our Sunday grocery run, and other errands, I just felt the urge come on and couldn't resist ...so I popped back on

fun: What is Deductible on Taxes for Real Estate Agents? - 01/22/08 10:48 PM
There are agents who actually believe the following is a deductible item for income tax purposes. What Do you say? Manicures. I don't like arguing with anyone on something like this..... but on tax issues you can't afford to be wrong. There are other items that agents have told me they write off on taxes, like dry

fun: Can Peace Be found on Board a Tractor? - 01/20/08 07:33 PM
Today I decided to pick up on several projects at home and forget work for a few hours. I forgot how much I like playing mechanic. My tractor equipment needed working over so I sharpened blades on the bush hog, greased all the fittings, oiled rusty stuff, and so forth. Then fired

fun: Does spelling really matter in the Bolg Universe ? - 01/06/08 07:27 PM
Should I worry about spelling errors on Active Rain? I asked myself this question one day when I was worried about several words that weren't being caught by spell-check, and I just knew they were wrong. Should I worry about it? Personally I hate it when people try to act like they are

fun: Fruit from a Christmas Tree - 12/25/07 05:37 PM
Well . I enjoy cooking and experimenting a little. We have this Japanese persimmon tree in our backyard . It takes 6 months for the fruit to mature. I am not kidding. Plus you need a couple of frosty nights to make them hurry up on the ripening. The wait is worth it however. There

fun: What is the first Christmas You Remember? - 12/24/07 11:51 PM
I think the first Christmas I recall I was probably 6 years old. I believe I got a Cowboy outfit with chaps , vest hat, and 6-shooter cap gun. Dad was a homebuilder then, and we got our first TV that year. A black and white behemoth made by Zenith. We
