No doubt real estate transactions are way more complex than in the past. Keeping up with all the legal, technical and social requirements is almost a full time job in and of itself! As a result it can often be overwhelming when a contract you have worked so hard to see to the close, becomes slowed down again and again because of anther's errors or inadequacies or even some poorly designed bureaucratic system that none of us on a local level have any control over at all. The longer I am in the business the more I realize who I really can depend on to to their jobs and moreover who I can trust to perform their jobs with the utmost professionalism. This holds true for title companies. lawyers, inspectors, repairmen, vendors.......and yes...... fellow Realtors. Recently I needed a difficult to find plumbing part. I had looked all over our twin cities trying to locate it. I know a lot of plumbers , supply houses, and hardware outlets in the area. But..... Early in my career I went through a transformation. This took a while because I was young and a little stubborn to say the least. Then I learned something that I still revert back to when the situation dictates. Every now and then a new agent comes along in our office that really surprises me. As a broker-owner it is always very rewarding to watch agents grow and progress in a business that so many "try" , and few really excel at. The amazing thing is that we currently have several newer agents working that have surprised me. They require a lot of attention, but you know....that doesn't bother me one bit when I see someone really making an exerted conscious effort and going to the closing table which is why we work.
