21 Things Your Burglar Won't Tell You
This is a great email that I received that looks at your home the way a burglar does. It is very insightful and gives you some great hints at how to protect yourself. This is reprinted with permission from Chris McGoey, an author, who can be visited at www.CrimeDoctor.com.

The Big Snowstorm - Now the Clean Up Begins - 02/27/10 05:06 PM
The last 2 1/2 days it has snowed almost non stop. We got well over 2 feet of snow.  We haven't had a storm like that since April of 1997.  Today I had an appointment to go out with buyers and since everyone was digging out and we had been cooped up for days we decided to keep the appointment.   Everywhere we went it looked like a disaster.  I couldn't really take pictures because I was with someone new (actually I don't think I would do that with someone I was more comfortable with either) but I was able to … (6 comments)

Move The Terror Trials-Sign the Petition - 02/26/10 07:01 AM
When I first heard they were going to hold the Terror Trials in New York City I couldn't believe it.  How could they afford it?  How would they protect everyone?  Why did these people who weren't even citizens deserve the same rights and access to a justice system that a United States citizen would?  Then they began to say they would move them to Orange County-right up the road from where I live.  Still the same questions-how could they protect everyone during these trials?  Why does it have to be done in such extremely populated areas?   This should be done … (7 comments)

Orange County Declares State Of Emergency
Orange County Executive Edward A. Diana has declared a state of emergency in response to the severe weather impacting Orange County

The County has determined that road conditions are dangerous and pose a real and substantial risk to vehicular traffic and the public safety is imperiled thereby, and the presence of non-essential vehicles on the roads will impede snow removal equipment and other essential services,” Diana said.
“Accordingly, I do hereby find that the County of Orange public safety to be imperiled by the said winter storm and, consequently, to safeguard … (3 comments)

A Message from God - Warning, will bring a tear! - 02/25/10 09:34 AM
This is one of the kindest things you may ever see. This was sent to me in an email. It is not known who replied, but there is a beautiful soul working in the dead letter office of the US postal service.        Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey.. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her.   I told her that I thought … (9 comments)

A Closer Look Home Inspections - Thank Goodness they are reliable! - 02/15/10 06:09 PM
Today I left my house early to head to an inspection.  YAY!! I wanted to get there early because I knew my buyer was coming from over 300 miles away to attend the inspection and I wanted to be there to open the house for them should they arrive early.  The seller was going to be present also so it should be a pretty easy straight forward day.  We all arrived within minutes of each other and chatted for a short time while we were waiting for the home inspector to show up.   When the allotted time came and went … (13 comments)

Safety Warnings & Tips - 02/08/10 11:27 AM
I got this email awhile ago and have let it sit because I wasn't sure if I was going to use it or not.  But because of recent abductions of women in the tri-state area and the anniversary of the death of someone I know who was killed by someone who was never caught I decided to use this exactly as I received it.  Does it seem a little dramatic?  Maybe, but if it saves one person who reads it then it was worth the time I took to post it.  It never hurts to be over cautious and in this … (20 comments)

I saw this cute little guy when I ran to the Post Office the other day.  As I got out he called to me as cute dogs always do.  I hopped back in the car and took two quick shots before the owner returned.  It is through the car's dirty window but you can still see how adorable this tiny dog is.  He has some long nails on him too.  Sorry I couldn't resist!

Silly Saturday - A Day At the Farm - 02/06/10 04:48 PM
Last Monday was incredibly cold as it has been all this past week.  I was coming past the farm where they keep the animals they use in the movies and I could see they were all huddled together but it must have been feeding time because they were unusually close to the road and I couldn't resist stopping and snapping a few pictures even though I was in a hurry.  It is very rare for them to be so close to the road because their roaming area is just so large.  A lot of the time you can't even see them … (14 comments)
