We had a fabulous session yesterday morning with RealBird technology host Erich Ziebarth and RealBird President Gabriel Gross. The subject was incorporating RealBird tools into social media to achieve marketing success, and we spent a good amount of time on my favorite subjects, real estate photography.

We also fielded lots of great questions from webinar attendees, ranging from questions about what kind of wide-angle lenses to choose, where to learn more (3 comments)
Tomorrow morning, I'll be joining the RealBird folks to co-host a webinar on the subject of "Learning to cook creatively with social media using the many RealBird ingredients". RealBird President Gabriel Gross was kind enough to ask me to participate as a guest speaker. Friend Erich Ziebarth, with "Get Seen, Get Sold" will be heading up tomorow's webinar. If you haven't signed up for a RealBird webinar, it would be well worth your time to do so! Gabe, Zoltan and Erich (1 comments)
The folks at RealBird have announced their video tours appear to receive preferential treatment in a Google Video search. We've noticed the advantage in our own searches. Originally, only YouTube videos were showing up at or near the top of our Video searches, but it appears RealBird property videos are gaining on YouTube (or surpassing it) in a Google Video search. The RealBird property websites receive a thumbnail icon, which is displayed next to the search result. RealBird keeps innovating and staying current, which is one of the reasons I recommend (0 comments)
What's better than being at the top of page one in search engine results? How about showing up two, three, four, maybe even five or more times on page one? Your goal should be to dominate the first page of search results for the most popular (and likely) area searches where you practice real estate. In some cases, it may be more important to show up multiple times on page one than it is to show up in first or second position. Here's an example of search engine saturation at work:

realbird: "Stop the World, I Want to get Off" - Is New Technology Coming at you too Rapidly to Keep up? - 10/24/10 11:35 AM
Lately I've noticed quite a few posts on ActiveRain about "too much new technology" and "too many gimmicks and gadgets". A post I wrote about QR codes even drew a couple of pretty strange comments about an Orwellian conspiracy to tattoo bar codes on the arms of Americans. In another post I just read on the same subject, the author wants someone to "prove it to me that this technology is worth using". Here's the way I look at it: IGNORE GOOGLE AT YOUR OWN PERIL. Google is invested in QR Code technology. So is RealBird. Apple is promoting it with several iPhone Apps specifically created for (8 comments)
realbird: Fifteen Ways to use QR Codes to Enhance your Real Estate Marketing - 10/20/10 06:01 PM
Yesterday, an ActiveRain member read my post about the new RealBird feature that enables users to download scannable QR (Quick Retrieve) Codes for each of their property listings. That member asked me "what can I do with these codes?" and wondered aloud if they are just a "gimmick". The iPhone and Android phones are capable of scanning and reading these QR codes. With a handheld smartphone that has this capability, a consumer can scan the code and view a virtual tour of a property listing in seconds. So, in response to those questions, I've put together a list of things you can (13 comments)
realbird: Has "Everyone" Seen Your Listings? - 09/24/10 09:24 PM
Since I work in two states, I have broker friends on both sides of the border. And brokers do commisserate from time to time. They compare notes and complain about the slowness of the current real estate market. So it came as little surprise when a broker colleague with another firm called me the other day to cry on my shoulder a bit. It seems he's frustrated with a particular listing that won't sell. At one point in the conversation, he said "I just don't understand why my listing won't sell. Everybody's seen it!" Everybody? Okay, how good is your marketing (5 comments)
realbird: Real Estate Webinars - Which Do You Like? Have You Found any Particularly Helpful? - 09/21/10 08:01 PM
It seems like the real estate industry is flooded with Webinars lately. NAR has gotten in on the act. So is the Council of Residential Specialists. RealBird and TourFactory offer their own product webinars. There are webinars on social networking and searh engine optimization and real estate photography. There are others that are product-specific, like the TourFactory webinars. And still others that are about growing your business or staying positive in a negative economy. I receive solicitations to attend real estate webinars every day in my inbox. Some of these webinars are free. Others charge for the privilege. My experience has been that some of the best webinars (6 comments)
