In Ontario, the Seller Property Information Statement, or SPIS, is an informational disclosure by the seller to prospective buyers; it is mandatory for members of some real estate boards, optional in others (e.g., the Toronto Real Estate Board). The Ontario Real Estate Association recommends REALTORS consider using the SPIS. (Note the qualifier.)
