We've had an uncharacteristically dry summer in South Central Missouri. Rain has been scarce - and it seems like we've had a circle drawn around our property. Neighbors just down the street have had big, fluffy rain clouds while I'm in my drive way with the sun glasses on! Some where along the line, we made the rain gods mad. But the last two days, we've had some relief. Glorious rain! As an added bonus, a double rainbow! The hubby grabbed the cell phone, as I had both cameras with me! (Sorry Honey!) Enjoy - we sure did!

What an incredible day!I am working with a wonderful couple that have three daughters. They transferred to the Lebanon Missouri area a few years ago and have been renting since then. Bankrate.com recently released their latest survey on MSN.com: Where you'll pay the lowest loan fees In each state, they requested a good faith estimate based on a $200,000 mortgage, assuming a 20% down payment and good credit. New York ranked the highest and North Carolina ranked the most economical.Missouri ranked 3rd in the cost comparison chart, with some of the lowest fees in the country. Lebanon Missouri played host to the 8th Annual Route 66 Festival on Saturday, September 20th, 2008. The event actually kicked off on Friday night with a Cruise-In sponsored by Steak-n-Shake of Lebanon. Then on Saturday, from 9 am until 4 pm, the Cowan Civic Center, located on Historic Route 66, played host to a classic car show, motorcycle show, vendors and new vehicle exhibits. Just in case I haven't convinced you that you'll Find Your Freedom in South Central Missouri....If you're still sitting on the fence, thinking it would be great to live here... Little to no crime...Good to great schools...Lots of things to do and see....Easy drive to St. Louis and Kansas City...A calendar full of four true seasons...Low taxes...Open land...How about this.... A gallon of gas for $3.39!
