At the ReBar Camp in Chicago, Bill Lublin did a session on Social Capital. That subject has stuck with me for a over a month and I have been mulling around in my little head. What is Social Capital? I have 564 some odd friends on Facebook. Heck, I don't even know 564 people, much less call them "friends". I have friends on Activerain, that I have been fortunate to know through their written words and some I have got to meet in person. When I have a friend request on Facebook, I quickly look at their profile or who they know that I might know. I decided this past month that if you friend request me through FaceBook and are a member of Activerain, RE/MAX or Keller Williams I will accept your friendship request. When I was a little girl, and would be leaving my grandmother's house she would always say, "Be sweet, see you in my dreams." My mother use to say, "Be good." My dad use to say, "Remember who you are." Lately, when I leave a message for someone on other social networks, I've been saying, "See ya in the rain". Lately, I have been joining other Social Networks, seems like more and more pop up and are started every day.
