Chelsea is about 15 miles West of Ann Arbor.
Dexter is about 5 miles West of Ann Arbor.

Ypsilanti City is zip code 48197 and includes both Ypsilanti Schools and Lincoln Consolidated School Districts. Willow Run is zip code 48198. Both of these area's have been the hardest hit by foreclosure's and short sales.

The Sidetrack Bar and Grill is a charming restaurant in Ypsilanti Michigan; it is located in Depot Town and has the best burgers. It is a completely laid back atmosphere and reminds me of the way life use to be, with lots of old photos on the walls of the history of the SideTrack Restaurant.
The Sidetrack has been in business since the 1800's when it was started across from the railroad tracks in Ypsilanti. The Amtrak Train passes through there although it never stops anymore. You have to pick up a ticket to Chicago in Ann Arbor.

The second quarter data had both surprises and not some surprises. When you are out selling and working with buyers on a day to day basis, Realtors just instinctively know what is happening.
If a buyer wants a home in a certain neighborhood and a certain price point then the hunt is on. My last two listings both had offers within 2 weeks, a home in Saline and a condo in Ann Arbor.
Both of the sellers were aggressive in their pricing and both homes were in tip top shape.

Welcome to 1288 Hull Street in Ypsilanti, MI. This home has been 100% remodeled and is nicer than any starter home, I have seen in my 13 years in Real Estate. The sellers spared nothing in making this a quality home. Easy access to I-94, St. Joe's Hospital in Ypsilanti and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
When I sold it to them in 2004, it was a yucky yellow, no dormers. They purchased it from the original oweners and it had not been updated in years. Now look at it !!

In December 2006, Zak Wigel, walked into Saline Community Education Department and requested to use the gym to set up a Halo Tournament to raise money. He wanted to host a video gaming tournament to host a Halo Tournament. They got approved months in advance to use the gym. Zak put in $600.00 of his own money. After months of planning, two weeks before the tournament, in March, Zak was told to CANCEL THE TOURNAMENT!!

Ypsilanti Michigan is home to Eastern Michigan University and sometimes referred to as the step-child of Ann Arbor. EMU has over 19,000 students in the undergraduate program and 4800 in Graduate School.
EMU is part of the Mid American Conference.
It is a lovely town of a little over 22,000 people. It has become well known for a lot of different summers festivals. One I always attend is the Ypsilanti Heritage Festival held at Riverside Park, along the Huron River. Growing up in Ky, I was always amused my the nickname of YpsiTucky.
