marketing: It's half way through the year, are you where you want to be? - 06/17/09 07:46 PM
So here I am, it's 8:30pm and I'm about ready to call it quits for the night and go home. My wife is waiting and I'm sure she isn't happy that I'm still here. I am in the middle of training a couple of new Agents and sometimes that takes longer than expected. We are just getting ready to start their training on goal setting and action plans. If you have read anything that I have wrote, you know how important I believe this is for your business. You must have a goal and a plan to really acheive the next

marketing: USP's - Unique Selling Proposition - Do you use these? - 06/17/09 04:41 PM
It's been a bit since I wrote here. We have been so busy at my Real Estate office and with The eHomes Realty Network. Both are going great! This week, tomorrow (Thursday) actually, I am hosting a webinar on the use of USP's. You have all seen them, they are things such as "If we don't sell your home in 60 days, we will buy it!". I'm not a big fan of some of these as they are all relying on using the fine print. However, there are many USP's that you can use in Real Estate that will get your phone ringing

marketing: If you are not marketing now, you are missing the boat - This is a must read! - 01/26/09 09:27 AM
Hi Everyone! I just sent this to everyone in The eHomes Realty Network, and I thought it was important to share with everyone. During economic slow downs, companies tend to pull back on their marketing efforts. Read this below and you will understand that not marketing right now could be the biggest mistake of your career! Why did you stop marketing? You should be marketing like crazy right now! A McGraw-Hill Research study of over 600 businesses found that: 1981-1982 - businesses that maintained or increased their ad spend during the 1981-82 recession... Averaged higher sales growth during the recession and

marketing: Are you winning in the Real Estate business? - 09/11/08 09:41 PM
I had a great conversation with one of my members of The eHomes Realty Network tonight. It started with a simple question. He asked, "How do you continue to always be upbeat and motivated?" It was a good question because sometimes I ask myself the same question. Even though my revenues are pretty high in this market, I don't make nearly the money I made when I was an Agent selling homes versus a Broker with 24 Agents. I decided to open my brokerage at the worst possible time, March of 2005, right before the market fell down. It was a little bit

marketing: Affiliate Marketing - You can earn Listings Leads and Referral Fees for free! - 09/01/08 12:14 AM
So I guess there was some confusion over a post I made this past week with regard to affiliate marketing. Let me explain it hopefully a little better. Back when I owned my Internet company, I was one of the first companies online to do affiliate marketing. The goal was to have my affiliate partners have my content and business on their site but make it appear to be my affiliate partners. It was a win/win situation; when someone bought something, through these sites we both benefited. A few weeks ago it dawned on me that I should be using this

marketing: Are you a Realtor or a Marketer? - 08/24/08 12:03 AM
I don't see to many posts on here that really make the distinction between the two. Are you a Realtor? Yes, you all have your license, but are you really a Realtor? Do you know your job as good as you should? Do you continue to become educated? Do your run your Real Estate business as a business? Do you have a solid customer service program? I could go on, but I think you get the point. Or, are you a marketer? Do you spend all your time figuring out lead conversion and capture? (yes if you know me I'm an addict!)

marketing: Are you looking for a Realtor to List your Home? Ask for the stats! - 07/02/08 12:58 AM
So you have decided to sell your home and your first step is to hire a Realtor. Before you do so though, you should do your own home work to get an idea of what your home is valued. You really don't want to hear any surprises when you bring the Realtors in the door. In most cases I would recommend interviewing at least 2 Agents and sometimes 3 Agents. This is going to be the biggest decision you make over the next several months. Hiring the wrong Agent can cost you a ton of time and money, not to mention

marketing: What is your click to lead capture rate? Let's see how we all rate with each other. - 07/01/08 08:46 PM
I have been talking to a ton of people lately. Many have asked me to evaluate their websites and their ability to convert a click to a lead. This is such an important part of taking full advantage of your Internet marketing, yet most of the people I asked, had no idea what their ratio was. If you would like me to take a look at your site and give you my opinion, go to: http://www.ehomesrealty.com/index.cfm/Free_Website_Evaluation So what I would like to do, for all our sakes, is let's find out where we all rate with each other with regard to

marketing: With all this Internet Marketing stuff, don't forget that this is a people business. - 06/27/08 11:59 AM
Everyone once in a while I sit back and watch my Agents hard at work. They are always calling their leads, showing property, writing contracts and I see tons of happy satisified customers that come through our door all thankful that they found us on the net and were treated so well. It's easy to forget that sometimes, even though we spend most if not all, of our ad budget on Internet marketing, that our customers are still customers and need to be held close during the transaction. I see many Agents forget that at the other end of that Internet

marketing: Free Website Evaluation - 06/17/08 11:13 PM
Hi Everyone! Since I'm on here all the time offering up free tips, I figured I would take it one step further for our Active Rain community. For a very short time, I am going to be offering free website evaluations on a first come first serve basis. Depending upon how many I get, will depend on how many I can do. Remember, I have to run The eHomes Realty Network, 100MPH Marketing and of course my Real Estate company, Tropical Realty of Suntree. So, for a short time, go to this link, leave me your info, and I will do

marketing: Who says the market is bad? - 06/12/08 11:48 PM
Ok, so the market isn't the best it has been in a long time. It's been very difficult to find buyers and sellers are still unreasonable. I was talking to a Realtor the other day that just shocked me. She said that she had only worked with 2 buyers all year and hasn't sold a home all year. Firstly, I my curiosity was peaked to try to understand how someone who works full time could not have any sales this year. Is this normal? I decided to probe a little deeper to see how this can be. I asked her to

marketing: The eHomes Realty Network launch in one week! - 06/12/08 11:19 PM
Well it's getting closer and coming along quicker than I had thought. Starting on Monday, The eHomes Realty Network will be available for Brokers to join. I am very excited about offering Independent Brokers the ability to finally have access to the tools that the Franchises have (actually most of what we have is better!) and to start teaching my member Brokers how to succeed by using the Internet and more. If you are a Broker or work for a Broker that needs Marketing, Internet, and Business help as well as great training programs for it's agents and so much more,
