I hope you are having an awesome weekend so far. I've been thinking a lot lately why I'm so determined to help all of you reach your potential. I have been alone most of the weekend while my wife is in Chicago. Lot's of time to think about things....which as you know, may or may not be a good thing for me! But today, Memorial Day, has always been one of my favorite holidays. I don't know how many of you take what we have for granted, but you shouldn't. This is my favorite holiday of the year.  It's full of thoughts of all our past and current heros.  Our country might be a mess right now, but our true core of being American's is strong.  One of the greatest gifts we have as a country is our freedom.  Many of take this for granted but most of us know that this freedom we enjoy came at great human sacrifice.   It's this weekend that we are given the opportunity to reflect and thank all our soldiers who have fought for our freedom.

It's the beginning of one of my favorite holiday weekends. While most of the country thinks of this day as a chance to party and enjoy an extra day off on Monday, I'll think of how lucky I am to live in a country where I can do what I want, think what I want and say what I want. Why do we have this freedom? It's because of the great men and women who over the past 200+ years gave their lives so I can have this freedom. It's Friday, the beginning of a long weekend of sun (maybe not for us in Brevard County Florida this weekend) and time to get together with our friends and families to eat hamburgers (or veggie burgers) and hot dogs.  This is probably my most favorite holiday of the year.  It's certainly the most emotional holiday for me. 
While we are here enjoying our families, the smell of hot coals and the beauty of a late spring day in America, we have thousands of our children fighting our battles oversees.  I think that it's so important on this weekend to recognize these … (3 comments)
