Loan Modification , this maybe available to homeowner that still has income but had an event that has cause a Hardship. Option include reducing Interest down to 1% for up to several years, creating a no interest loan for 6 months and then set at 5% and many more based on your Mortgage holder
Short Sale, if you are not earning or you just want out, then this is the next based option to avoiding foreclosure. This process requires you to list your home at market value and takes 60 - 90 days after you accept an offer for acceptance.
