On my weekly update call to BofA to go over my Short Sales in process, I found myself zoning out...1-they could not find the authorization, 2 -it took forever for people to figure out who I was, 3-I had to tell them where everything was, 4-it felt like more of an update from me going over the last 40 calls with this useless person.....THEN I FINALLY SAID IT... In this market, taking an overpriced listing is usually a step for disaster...most times you are dealing with someone unreasonable about the market, their equity, and what they want to see as a return for their investment...More and more lately I see great agents taking awful listings...True...this means I have not been asked to list these properties but unless you want to be realistic with me, their is no use for our proposed partnership anyhow.... Just what you love to be involved with, sticky situations... Just an afternoon venting...have a Seller/Investor, home is for sale, offer comes in and does not work out past inspections(which you know most investor/sellers don't want to fix anything)...so Release of Contract and Earnest Money gets sent over...WON'T SIGN IT...Come On... Really???, you are gonna hold these poor people's earnest money hostage 'cause you never wanted to get repairs done correctly in the first place? No leg to stand on, they have legitimate outs but yet, this is the 3rd day I am discussing this with him... You almost feel ashamed (5 comments)

The House of Representatives voted 416 to 0 to pass the Service Members Home Ownership Tax Act of 2009 which extends the current $8,000 first-time home buyer tax credit for another 12 months for members of the military, Foreign Service, and intelligence corp who served at least three months of qualified overseas duty in 2009. The program is set to expire on November 30th, 2009 for everyone else and the justification for the extension makes sense. What If Someone Told You Where You Had To Spend Marketing Dollars?
We all look for a special niche in this business because we all work for ourselves. At my company the other day, they want all of us to start paying $20 extra a month to my office for Realtor.com enhanced....while this may be a great marketing tool, I have always been happy enough with the standard Realtor.com exposure that I get for free from my other marketing sites and I don't want to encur this extra cost thought up from some agents who aren't happy paying that individual (14 comments)

I have been going back and forth on this seller who wants me to list his home...THE CATCH? It seems that when I have looked at my listings and other Short Sale listings $300k and under, I am seeing a trend of slowing down in the showings...my thought is, 1st Time Homebuyer Incentive ending on November 30th...most agents will tell their buyers that Short Sales take too much time... 4-12+ weeks to complete that I feel like these are the last ones shown lately. I am told all my clients that with the Proposed Extension will come the showings back to full swing but I am wondering...Anyone Else Feeling This?
