For the record, I am a REGULAR RE Agent(not just distressed sales people), I love homes that have plenty of Equity in them and that willing Sellers call me to list...except for 1 thing...I don't see alot of those selling right now...I have seen easily 15-20% of "NORMAL" listings turn to Preforeclosures, some of these homes, the Sellers never even mentioned it to their Realtors...until 2 months prior to foreclsoure when my Short Sale team was called in to help...
I again will love the days that I get to bring a "NORMAL SALE" to closing, with no arguments, no biting fingernails … (6 comments)

The Internal Revenue Service recently released the new form that eligible homebuyers need to claim the first-time homebuyer credit this tax season and announced processing of those tax returns will begin in mid-February. The IRS also announced new documentation requirements to deter fraud related to the first-time homebuyer credit.

The House of Representatives voted 416 to 0 to pass the Service Members Home Ownership Tax Act of 2009 which extends the current $8,000 first-time home buyer tax credit for another 12 months for members of the military, Foreign Service, and intelligence corp who served at least three months of qualified overseas duty in 2009.
