mooresville real estate: $8K Homebuyer Credit Extended 12 Months For Military & Service* - 10/14/09 02:02 PM
The House of Representatives voted 416 to 0 to pass the Service Members Home Ownership Tax Act of 2009 which extends the current $8,000 first-time home buyer tax credit for another 12 months for members of the military, Foreign Service, and intelligence corp who served at least three months of qualified overseas duty in 2009. The program is set to expire on November 30th, 2009 for everyone else and the justification for the extension makes sense. If you've been serving abroad for our country, it makes it very difficult for you to look for a house and take advantage of the

mooresville real estate: Agents: Are Your Short Sale Showings Slowing Down For You? - 10/01/09 12:50 PM
Showings On Your Short sale Listings... It seems that when I have looked at my listings and other Short Sale listings $300k and under, I am seeing a trend of slowing down in the showings...my thought is, 1st Time Homebuyer Incentive ending on November 30th...most agents will tell their buyers that Short Sales take too much time... 4-12+ weeks to complete that I feel like these are the last ones shown lately. I am told all my clients that with the Proposed Extension will come the showings back to full swing but I am wondering...Anyone Else Feeling This? I

ORLANDO, Fla. Ed Binkley has designed many costly mansions in his day, including a concept home for Tiger Woods. Now he is turning his attention to homes that are small but comfortable, affordable and green. As the McMansion boom goes bust, "the focus is moving toward high-density, single-family houses on small lots," said Binkley, an architect who recently left BSB Design in Orlando, Fla., to launch his own company, Ed Binkley Design, in Oviedo, Fla. The plans and sketches on the drawing board in his home office show cottages and duplexes in a variety of architectural styles. The designs in

mooresville real estate: The Importance of Having A Buyers Agent for New Construction Homes - 09/08/09 10:36 AM
Want New Constrcution? Take Your Buyers Agent With You! The popularity of new construction is undeniable. Many buyers simply prefer to buy a new home rather than to purchase an existing home that has been owned and lived in by other people. I guess it is similar to that new car smell that makes a new car irresistible to some. There is definitely something wonderful about buying a new home you can customize exactly to the style and amenities you prefer. If you are considering buying a new home, you will want to consider some of these suggestions before you

mooresville real estate: North Carolina NACA Approved Buyers Agent...Lets Get You Going! - 09/02/09 11:31 AM
After being involved on the selling side of these NACA transactions, I finally went and got approved to be a buyers agent for NACA...what a great deal! They do not look at your credit score but rather what you can afford. They "Leave No One Behind" so they will continue working with you until you finally get to the point of being Approved! The max price allowed under the program is $200,160 but, you have no closing costs...instead, any money you negotiate from the seller for "Closing Costs" are used to "Buy Down" your rate...with current rates through NACA hovering around 4.75%(Loans

Keeping it real When it comes to decorating your home this fall, comfortable yet contemporary is the new vibe By Kim CookAssociated Press Posted: Friday, Aug. 21, 2009Where fashion goes, home decor is never far behind. And this fall, home retailers continue to take cues from decades past, such as '60s and '70s styles ranging from loose and relaxed to sophisticated and worldly. mooresville real estate: If You Really Want The Short Sale, Don't Low Ball It! - 08/20/09 10:21 AM
If you deal with short sales on a regular basis and you normally list them, you will know what I am talking about...how many times do people or potential buyers come through and low ball the heck out of the listing? If you are like me, I regularlly keep up with weekly or bi-weekly CMA's on the property, for 2 reasons, 1 because if we can justify the seller lowering the price in order to snag a deal, I want to know, 2nd is so that I know the number(within a 5% range) of what the appraiser or BPO agent will

Zoning plan suggested to control traffic on U.S. 21 The roadway protection overlay plan would put affect development around Exit 42. By Dave VieserSpecial Correspondent Posted: Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009 In an effort to avoid the congestion problems often seen in Mooresville on N.C. 150, Troutman and Iredell County officials are considering a roadway protection overlay plan for U.S. 21. The concept, presented to the town's aldermen last month, would affect a 300-foot corridor along U.S. 21 from the town limits southward to Westmoreland Road. Overlay plans traditionally regulate such issues as road driveway access, signs, outside storage and parking. Ron

mooresville real estate: Short Sale Listings and Sales in Charlotte...Knowing How - 08/18/09 09:49 AM
With reports that Short Sales will be about 50% of our buisness for the next few years...it is no surprise everyone is trying to brand themselves as a Short Sale Realtor. But...unless you have been through the process and have been on both sides of the transaction you know...Well, it's not a Short Sale at all. I would really like to see something where the Banks got on board and made the process a structured one, by the book, weighing their losses to what the market will bear on each home....kinda how it is now but more direct...the weeks between

mooresville real estate: Don't Let Your Home Foreclose, List With Experienced Short Sale Agents - 07/30/09 02:37 PM
Don't Just Let Your Home Foreclose, You Need A Short Sale Agent! www.TheShortSaleAgents.com Home Short Sale Listings Search Foreclosures Understanding Short Sales As foreclosure rates hit record levels, more sellers are turning to short sales as a way to avoid foreclosure. So, how does it work? In a short sale, the seller arranges with their mortgage lender to accept a price that's less than the amount they owe on the property. As a result, the seller doesn't have to go though a foreclosure, the buyer picks up a property at a discount, and the lender avoids taking
