The Real Estate Market & The Local Reality in Response to Jim Cramer's BS on The Today Show! - 09/29/07 04:00 AM
Earlier this week, Jim Cramer was on The Today Show bashing real estate and made irresponsible statements to consumers telling them not to purchase a house right now. Jim Cramer is NOT an expert in the field of real estate, and he is sorely misinformed and did not take into consideration local markets. Two-thirds of metropolitan areas across the country are showing price gains and the national median home price in August showed a modest increase.
While some states are seeing increases in foreclosures - many states are seeing a decrease in foreclosures - Utah, Idaho, Oregon, New Mexico, Washington, West Virginia, South … (20 comments)

Missoula Montana Real Estate Market Remains Strong - The Local Reality - 09/28/07 09:28 PM
There has been a lot of negative press about the real estate market recently. To understand the whole story, you should also consider local markets.
In Missoula, Montana for instance, the market remains solid. We have a strong economy and Missoula is a desirable place to live. We also have growth/development restraints due to our location and the geography of our mountain ranges and government land ownership. Demand continues to increase for land.
Missoula did not see the same extent of short-term investment activity as other areas. Those "short-term" investors have been hit the hardest nationally.
While some states are seeing an increase in foreclosures, Montana's … (1 comments)

Missoula Montana Real Estate Market Remains Solid through September 2007 - 09/23/07 09:49 PM
I get asked all of the time, how is the market doing in Missoula with all of the issues with lenders? My experience in the market tells me that the market is still strong in Missoula, people are still buying and selling. September has been one of our busiest months in our history in the field. Here's the formal update from the Missoula Organization of Realtors as of 9/15/07:
The national media continues to focus on the high foreclosure rates in some real estate markets across the country and the efforts to provide alternatives to distressed borrowers. To put the issue into perspective, … (0 comments)

Colorful History - Superior, Montana & Cedar Creek - 09/15/07 09:01 PM
Superior has a colorful Wild West history with a Gold Rush and Boomtowns that sprang up around the area. We have a local museum and historical society that was able to provide me with some great information on the history of the area.
Cedar Creek Gold Rush
The discovery of gold and the ensuing stampede into Mineral County's Cedar Creek gulch took place more than 100 years ago. Time has dimmed much of the story, but it is known that Cedar had all the elements of greed, violence and rowdiness found in gold mining camps.

Marketing & Advertising a "Green" Home - 09/15/07 07:25 PM
Have any of you advertised on http://www.greenhomesforsale.com/ ? I found out about the website in a brief clip on NBC news tonight about green weddings and how green weddings are popular now and then people shop for a green home.
We have a beautiful home listed in Superior, Montana that is a "Green" construction and would like to get additional exposure to attract people interested in this kind of home. We placed an ad on greenhomesforsale.com for 90 days.
We're trying all of the traditional marketing tactics but want to expand our efforts. Do any of you have other suggestions for … (3 comments)
