Here's a great explanation about the New Good Faith Estimates you will receive when you apply for a mortgage.

Via Ruth Vogt (LMB#100023827) WR Starkey Mortgage:
New Good Faith Estimate of Closing Costs
Sometimes the hardest part about having new forms is that, well, it's NEW! It's DIFFERENT! We have to create new scripts to EXPLAIN it so that our clients can UNDERSTAND it. But first... WE have to understand it.
So here are just a few points regarding the new Good Faith Estimate that I hope will help with that.
First, we have to recognize the old Good Faith Estimate was really … (0 comments)

access realty: 8 Myths of Staging to Sell Your Missoula Montana Home - Busted. - 11/10/09 03:23 PM
Some great myths of home staging, although I do think that smell is very important on a home, and a welcoming aroma is appealing to buyers.

Via Donna Ross - Home Staging, Sydney, Australia (Great Impressions Real Estate Staging & Consulting - Sydney):
Home staging (or property styling as it's commonly known as on the Australian property scene) is really an art, not a science. One of the many things a professional home stager understands is that it's the house that's up for sale, not the home owner's bread baking ability or taste in music. So, from the sublime to the … (4 comments)

I Thought Your Office Would Be Much Larger based on Your Internet Presence
Creating a strong internet presence through the use of websites (with good SEO), blogs (like ActiveRain and ActiveRain Outside Blogs) and posting your listings on other national sites, can help you reach more potential buyers and establish yourself as a local authority in real estate.
We had a buyer/investor from Texas contact us this week when he was in Missoula about looking at investment properties in the area. Kevin spoke to him on the phone several times about what types of properties he was interested in and they … (8 comments)

Wordless Wednesday - Welcome to My Branch

Bald Eagles are a frequent sight along the Clark Fork River. They seem to come back to the same areas so we know where to look for them and enjoy seeing them on our drive. We loved that he was sharing his branch with a crow - that was the first time we've seen that!
Here's Another Bald Eagle Photo that Kevin took at a different time.

Lender - You're Doing a Great Job Marketing My Old Home!
We had a surprising compliment from one of our clients yesterday, a lender we represent on a couple of bank-owned properties.
The bank has stated in the past that they like working with us because we promote their listings so heavily on the Internet - a primary strategy in our marketing plan. They just recently received confirmation that our marketing plan is working and that their properties have high visibility on the internet from an unlikely source - the prior owner of the property!
The home had been listed for more than a year prior … (6 comments)

We Were Pink Flamingoed!
(Is Flamingoed even a word?)
We were Pink Flamingoed to the Access Realty office today, thanks to our friends at First American Title.
The Pink Flamino award is delivered to local businesses as part of a fundraiser for the local 4-H Club. We also received a hot pink certificate notifying us of our status.
This beautiful prize was delivered by a lady in a hat covered in pink flamingoes (who would not let me take her picture).
Upon receipt, you have the choice of displaying the Pink Flamingoes for the day, or gifting them to another … (6 comments)

One of our favorites is their Recession Red - a hearty wine and priced for the recession, it can't be beat.
Lake Missoula Cellars also has a stage and features entertainment on Friday nights as well as other special concerts and events.
We attended a concert by local Blues Artist, Mike Bader and had a great time.
