De Borgia was named for the Saint Regis de Borgia River, by Father de Smet in 1841. There has been a lot of negative national press about the real estate market recently. Reports of increased foreclosures and falling home prices seem to headline every news segment. What these national stories don't report is that many markets remain steady or are even growing slightly. So is the case with Mineral County and much of Western Montana.

This story reported on the growth spurt that Mineral County is experiencing and how Mineral County was 1st in the nation in September for hits on a popular website Landwatch.com.

Superior is home to the Mineral County Hospital. The hospital is one of the largest employers in the area and is also a critical service for area residents.
