Winterfest Update---our parade went through, people are stopping in for real estate guides, and it is warm! The thermometer only says 25 (high of 37 predicted) but the beautiful sun and blue sky makes it seem much warmer. I had a great week showing property; have a few contracts to draft, and other items on the agenda today. Make it a great weekend! Fireworks in Fish Creek tonight!

As of this writing, our Door/Kewaunee MLS is showing thirteen sales for January, 2012. The lowest was $35,000, and the highest was an owner-financed business move (a coffee shop/bistro into a larger home zoned commercial across from a beach) at $650,000 (down from the 800 K range). The great news is that I expect February and March to double. Due to a lack of snow and ice, we've had limited activity since the holidays. Cold hands and feet, warm heart! Door County Update: I've been showing vacant land and several winterized homes this week and it is FRIGID in Door County. Reminding my teenagers of basic common sense---wear socks in this weather! We have great ice here, the rinks are busy, but little snow. That may change later this week as the weather modulates. We received fantastic news this week in regards to Yacht Harbor Shores Condominiums; hoping for a new model this summer! Woke up this morning and got ready for a busy day. I would love to hear from some of the ActiveRain members who drive "territories" (an entire County) the way we do what their annual mileage is. I usually do about 60 miles on a showing day like today. No snow, so it's fantastic. And I don't have to fight traffic (except in summer and holiday weekends) the way others may have to.
