Collin County Real Estate Market SkyrocketsThe Collin County Association of Realtors reports that new home listings in March in Collin County and surrounding areas jumped to their highest level in two-and-a-half years. In addition, last month proved to be the best month of March the area has seen since 2005.

Historic Downtown Wylie hosts Pedal Car Race....the greatness of a smaller town - 04/26/10 04:26 PM

The Annual 500 Pedal Car Race (courtesy of Wylie Downtown Merchants) will be held on Sunday, May 2, in Historic Downtown Wylie on Ballard Street.  Kids ages 2-5 are eligible to race.  Race day registration ($10 entry fee includes t-shirt) begins at 1 p.m. with races starting at 2 p.m.  Proceeds benefit Wylie Special Olympics and Downtown Wylie beautification.
Please come out and support the kids who participate and the businesses that make it all possible!

Wylie ISD Kindergarten Roundup is 4/29/10 - 04/20/10 01:31 PM
Wylie ISD is holding Kindergarten Roundup at all elementary campuses Thursday, April 29, 4-7 p.m.   
The district offers full-day Kindergarten to students who are five years old, on or before September 1, 2010.  Parents attending the orientation will complete registration packets.  Students must be registered at the campus for which they are zoned.

What is a HUD-1 Settlement Statement? Real Estate Terminology Explained - 04/20/10 10:43 AM
The HUD-1 Settlement Statement is a form used by the settlement agent (also called the closing agent) to itemize all charges imposed upon a borrower and seller for a real estate transaction. It gives each party a complete list of their incoming and outgoing funds. It details all of the monies associated with the transaction.  Fees associated with the transaction but paid prior to closing are also included on the HUD. They are normally marked "POC," for Paid Outside of Closing.
