Nothing!
So I quit my job. So I wanted to be a productive agent. No one really cared at the independent real estate company that held my license. Sure they had nice offices and an office assistant but what else could they offer me for my $100 a month. What type of services were I receiving? Why did I feel so alone? I did not know what I was doing my first year. I thank God that nothing serious happened and I made it through my first year with a couple of closings.
When I got my license I did not know much about real estate firms. The only thing I knew was that I did not want to give a broker most of my money. I thought that I could learn all I needed to know about real estate on the Internet and in books. I was wrong. There was no magic recipe in either of those places. No matter how much I read and tried to do it on my own. I failed miserably. I decided it was time to pick myself up and to start over. I had to let go of the notion that this small company could meet my needs as a new agent. I needed guidance. I needed education. I needed to learn what were systems and how was I going to build a referral business with no clients. NO matter how I looked at the situation a 100% of nothing was still nothing. I wanted to keep my hard earned money but wait I did not earn anything. What was I afraid of in joining a larger company. (fees, commission splits...) When I took the time to think about it I had nothing to loose.
So the search began to find a new company. I began researching companies on the Internet. The plan was to find local offices and to interview with some of the brokers. I became my search by hoping to find a company with fees that I could afford. I also needed a company that I felt could adequately train me to become a better agent. It did not take long before I visited the Keller Williams website. I really liked what I read about kw. I was pleasantly amazed to learn about a company that valued what I valued.
I joined kw a week ago and I am so impressed with my new company for so many reasons. I love the agents the market center and all of the learning opportunities. I love the technology that is offered to all agents. I am in love with kw. My only regret is that no kw agent ever shared the opportunity with me. I wished that I could have given the credit to a fellow agent. I hope that I do not make the mistake of not sharing this wonderful opportunity with other agents, If anyone that reads this wants to know more about kw please email me and I will share my experiences and make sure that the right person can answer your questions. Keller Williams has a lot to offer.
Foreclosures & Investment Properties
I constantly watch and track the real estate market for good deals. Whether you are buying a property to live in or for investment purposes it is a good idea to include distress properties in your search. (distress properties include foreclosures, short sales, bank owned, abandoned properties, probate sales, IRS tax seizure sales, property tax sales, run down properties and condemned properties.) As an agent I can find a variety of distress properties for my clients. Here is an example of a list of distress properties in Fayette County. These types of properties can be found in different price ranges in all types of neighborhoods. If you are interested in receiving this type of list for this or other counties please me call at 678-524-3032 or email michellemaddox9@yahoo.com. I would love to send you free weekly updates of properties in your chosen areas.

I finally had a chance to plant my vegetable garden this past week-end. I love gardening. I feel a sense of renewal each year. I pray over my garden, I talk to my plants, I meditate, and I often vent to my plants. It is great therapy. When I was going through a divorce I could not wait to go home each day and take my frustrations out on the weeds. Working in my vegetable and flower gardens takes my mind off my problems.
In my gardens there are many plants and there is also peace love and happiness. I enjoy giving the plants what they need and they give me something in return. I receive spiritual and physical nourishment.
If you don't believe me, try it. Plant a garden and you will see that it can be beneficial in many ways.
What are some things that you do to help you to cope with everyday life?
