I have some exciting news about the possibility of constructing a dog park on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. At the next regularly scheduled Rancho Palos Verdes City Council meeting next Tuesday night November 17th at 7:00 pm at Fred Hesse Community Park at 29301 Hawthorne Blvd , the city council will be reviewing a staff report on improvements proposed for both Grandview Park and Lower Hesse Park in Rancho Palos Verdes which would include a fenced dog park for both large and small dogs. My husband, Bruce is trying to build up support for a dog park on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. This is because there is nowhere on the Peninsula that a dog owner can legally run their dog off leash. Our dop Pepper is a miniature Austrailian Shepherd, and loves to chase and catch the frisbee. The nearest dog park to us is in Redondo Beach and San Pedro, at least a 20 minute drive, and even the San Pedro dog park is only at a temporary location.
