Centennial Lakes Park  near Southdale is one of my most favorite parks.  It’s a very popular park year around as it offers many wonderful activity for adults and children of all ages.  Dog owners and those who love walks can enjoy more than 1.5 miles of beautiful paved paths and beautiful landscaping.
Some of the most popular summer activities include paddle boating, fishing, watching remote control sailboat races (by members of the Edina Model Yacht Club), golfing, croquet, or lawn bowling.

As you see, there are still quite a few homes that have been on the market for months now. The total market time of currently active listings ranges from 2 days to whaping 386 days, and the average is 140 days on the market.
Again, home owners whose homes are currently on the market are seeing an increased showing activity. Our appointment center is noting a significantly higher appointment call volume. 
Note: More homes in Edina, and in other areas, are selling within 30 days on the market!

Edina real estate market continues to slowly wake up this spring. April weather in our area was finicky. Temperatures below average, rain and even some snow (mostly in western and northwestern Minnesota, those areas received 6-12 inches!). Since weekends are usually the time when most people shop for homes, the weather halted that activity a couple of times.

Thanks to the Edina Housing Foundation (EHF), you can purchase a home with just $1,000 cash out of pocket. This program was designed as an incentive for young lower income families to move into the city after the 2000 census identified that over 25% of Edina homeowners are over 65 years of age.
This is a second mortgage program that works in conjunction with the first mortgage. You may borrow up to $60,000. The loan officer will determine the maximum amount you can qualify for.
