San Francisco Condo Prices at Record Highs: Who would have thunk?

March statistics are out from the MLS and they continue to paint a picture of the San Francisco real estate market that runs contrary to the doom and gloom one reads about the California market in general.

The moving average "flattens" the results, but the bottom line is that the March median and average condo prices at all time highs of $765,575 and $914,187, respectively. And this is while volume in terms of units sold is down. Why? Check out my main blog to find out what I think is going on.

Blood in the Streets? How about "Sold in 3 hours"...

Thanks to everyone for their warm welcome here!!!

Amid all the doom and gloom, it's worth remembering that San Francisco is not Miami, Stockton, or Sacramento. Just down the street from me, two newly renovated TIC's (not even condos), sold for a cool $1.675 and $1.8 (that's million) in three hours after an official opening house bash. Tastefully done, but wow!! For lots more on these two listings, including links to the public MLS, check out my personal blog page here:

http://pegasusventures.net/page6/page6.html
