Farewell to Walter Cronkite - 07/17/09 11:23 PM
The evening news was never the same after Walter Cronkite retired.  Those of us that watched the news with Walter Cronkite remember when news was news and personal opinion was saved for the editorial page of the newspapers.  
He was the face and voice we saw and trusted to tell us what was happening in the world.  When "no spin" wasn't a just slogan, but a professional standard of journalism.  We welcomed his into our living room every evening.

Helping My Son Install Crown Moldings in HIS first house - 07/14/09 11:17 PM
I like to say I take a special interest in all my clients and truthfully I believe I do.  But last weeks clients were not only first time home owners, they were my son and daughter-in law.   I am so proud of them and the hard work they are putting into their new house.  We are enjoying seeing her family and his coming together to help out.  It makes us all appreciate how fortunate we are to have loving and caring family.

Another way to look at "Cap and Trade" - 07/09/09 10:50 PM
When the clerk handed me my new Notebook PC at Costco, he exclaimed, it is amazing how much computer you can get for $300.  He was correct.  My first ever PC cost $2400 and had double the industry standard of 20 mega bite hard drive, a 5.25 inch floppy drive, and a speedy 8 megahertz processor.
