When we left off the HVAC service company and the new home owner were playing phone tag.  A week later they still are.  Since that time however, the HVAC company servicing the work order on behalf of the first year home protection has come up with their diagnosis, remedy and cost estimate.  After keeping the home owners waiting for parts a week and a half in August in Nashville (a new coil that had to be ordered)  here is the estimate.

It isn't Over with the Inspection in this Nashville Home So, you listened to your Realtor and had the house inspected before you bought.  Your agent even added a stipulation that they show proof of recent routine maintenance proving a clean bill of health for the HVAC unit(s).  It all looks great, until 2 weeks later and into the hottest month of the year the unit is blowing only hot air. No problem, we have a First Year Home Protection Plan.  But wait, the repair person they sent over look at the unit and notice years of dust around the coils. … (1 comments)

Nucci's  If you are in the Franklin, TN Cool Springs area visit Nucci's Italian Ice and Gelato. It was voted the best Italian Ice and Gelato and was named Best Ice Cream for the second year in a row at the Toast of Music City contest sponsored by the Tennessean.
It has always been my personal favorite place for a cool treat after a delicious Italian panini sandwich.  They have real fruit in their gelato and Italian ice choices.

A Man's Home is His Castle This home/castle was built by George C. Boldt millionaire proprietor of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NYC, for his wife, Louise.  It is located in Alexandria Bay New York.   The construction ended when Boldt received news of her sudden death in 1904.  The construction was stopped by the broken hearted Boldt and the Castle remained unfinished and abandoned until 1977 when it was open to the public.   The story illustrates that a home is where the heart is, and it certainly would never be home to the broken hearted George Boldt.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ … (4 comments)
