The Pumpkinfest is just another great weekend in Franklin TN. Once again they close the streets to traffic, set up bandstands, food vendors and craft booths and pull out all the stops in downtown Franklin. Big kids, small kids all in the Halloween spirit and pumpkins, music, hot drinks and hot food. Come on down and enjoy what looks to be a perfect fall day. It is this Saturday October 30th, I hope to see you there.

events: Visitors Bureau Top 12 for Franklin TN

The Visitor Bureau posted a top 12 list in today's Williamson County section of the Tennessean. They hit on a couple of my Franklin TN favorites. Number 1 on their list, and I don't think they are necessarily in a priority order, is a visit to Arrington Vineyards. Wine tasting, beautiful country side and live music on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays make this a fantastic recreation and entertainment value. Don't miss their Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina (Logins and Messina) concert on September 6th.

If you live here in Franklin Tennessee, you know what I am talking about. If you have out-of-towners visiting, show off this great winter event. "Dickens of a Christmas" Every year at this time, Franklin TN folks head to downtown Franklin, which is all of two blocks and a quaint town square. Once there we enjoy the festivities which consists of people dressed in the Charles Dickens' period (Nineteenth Century London) and local merchants enjoying the foot traffic that the event brings.
