Franklin, Tennessee's Dickens of a Christmas Too good to miss. Of the dozen or so Franklin festivals Dickens of a Christmas is my favorite. Perhaps it is because I have fond memories of the annual "A Christmas Carol" play by Dickens throughout my school years or the many wonderful renditions of this story, including the one that featured Mr. Magoo as Scrooge. This morning's Real Estate section headline read, "BUY NEW for a SAFE BET". I thought, really and of course read on. I understand that Nashville Tennessee is no different than any other city. The newspaper has to sell ads and builders are big advertisers. But the readers that live in houses buy those papers and they have to sell what my first Tennessee Realtor called their "pre-loved homes" someday.
