Why We Love Franklin TN When We first moved here to Franklin, TN, we could count on one hand the number of good locally owned cafes and restaurants. Don't you hate it when you ask a local where can you get a good (insert any cuisine here) and they give you the name and location of the closest national chain. Come on in and enjoy the coffee, the fruit tea their great home made sandwhiches. The Mercantile is just another great example of Franklin TN's down home southern country charm. Serving breakfast and lunches there is always a good crowd. If you are from around Franklin, you will run into somebody you know. My favorite is the chicken salad sandwich. Their sandwiches come with an option of potato or fruit salad. Make sure you save room for dessert, psst, try the blueberry pie.
