speechless sunday: Winter Wonder Land - Speechless Sunday - 01/10/10 01:06 PM
Whenever I think we are having a cold winter, here in Franklin TN., I break out these photos from our lake cottage in Upstate NY.  When I look at this picture suddenly it doesn't feel quite so cold here.  I am not sure what month this photo was taken in, but it could have been anywhere from October to April on Oneida Lake NY.
This photo is one reason I live in Franklin TN and visit NY in the SUMMER!

speechless sunday: I Got Your Back - Speechless Sunday in Franklin TN - 12/13/09 04:44 PM
This dog has the best seat on the wagon.  Wagon rides all day for the kids and families this weekend at the Dickens of a Christmas festival in Downtown Franklin TN.  The misty day did little to dampen the spirit of the festival goers, but that is not unusual, this is one of the area favorites.

speechless sunday: Speechless Sunday - Golf in Nashville - 11/22/09 09:13 PM
Though we try to golf year around here in Nashville, some months seem to want to act like winter.  Nashville area golfers may recognize the view.  I will let a few of you guess before I tell you which Nashville golf course this is.  Scroll below the photo to see.

 
The course is Windtree Golf Course located in Mt.Juliette north east of Nashville.  This view if from the 16th tee.  In the distance are the 16th, 17th and 6th greens.

speechless sunday: It's A Small World After All - Connecting through AR - 11/08/09 04:24 PM
Posting this because someone on AR recognized another castle near this one in another blog.  As it turns out she fished the spot in my profile photo and may even know my friends that live near there. 
A Man's Home is His Castle, but in this case not so.  My Speechless Sunday Post will be for readers to add the story.  I know there are a few of you out there that recognize this boat house, yes boathouse!  Perhaps they can help me tell the rest of the story.   The actual castle is on higher ground.

speechless sunday: Speechless Sunday - Roe and Joe Married 60 Years - 10/04/09 11:08 AM
Tell them Happy 60th, that's right, Rosemary and Joe Nastri celebrated the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary.  This September they passed this milestone.  They are coming to Franklin TN. for Thanksgiving. My mom will be supervising (probably more than just supervising) while we make home made pasta and if the weather cooperates my 93 year old dad will play golf with his grandchildren.

Four of the crew in the canoe are my kids.  The location is Oneida Lake in Upstate NY.  It is my neighbor's canoe and that is him Nate holding the rope.  The kids now all in their 20's and 30's all still speak fondly of those summers on the lake with their friends and old Nate who has since passed on in peace.  … (1 comments)

The eyes have it.   How can anyone not fall immediately in love when a baby gazes at you with eyes so totally trusting.  Being a grandparent is to date perhaps not my highest calling, but certainly my best.  Watching this little guy grow and learn as his parents learn about unconditional love is so very good for my heart. … (4 comments)
