First time home buyers purchasing in California this year make sure to ask your agent about the new Mortgage Protection Plan being offerred for FREE from C.A.R. California Association of Realtors recently announced they would be offering first-time home buyers a FREE ‘Mortgage Protection Program' using funds from the C.A.R. Housing Affordability Fund. This new program is called the Housing Affordability Fund Mortgage Protection Program.
C.A.R. is the first statewide association in the nation to offer a mortgage protection plan for consumers. C.A.R.'s Housing Affordability Fund is dedicating $1 million toward program and over 3,000 households are expected to take advantage of this … (1 comments)

I am attending Keller William's Family Reunion in Orlando. Florida this week! Great classes and great information! I attended a breakout session with RealtyTrac's Vice President, Rick Sharga on Foreclosure Investment Opportunities.
The statistics were unbelievable....
2.4 Million households received foreclosure notices in 2008 - this is up 81% from 2007.
It is projected in 2009, that there will be over 3 Million foreclosure notices filed.
Rick Sharga of Realty Trac predicts in 2009 that this figure will peak....later in the year... and that next year, 2010, foreclosure filings will drop back to the 2008 level.
