As I sit here contemplating my predictions for 2010, I thought it would be fun to look through everyone else's here on ActiveRain, so I have compiled a few of my favorites for your reading pleasure.
After I complete reading everyone else's, I will give some more serious thought to my own predictions and post those, so watch for them in the coming days...but until then, here's a few of the interesting posts I have found with some very interesting predictions for the new year:

One of the reasons this time of year is my favorite is because of our family traditions...although there are members of the family missing in this photo they are always remembered at this time of year. I have been a part of it since marrying into it 30 years ago and the holidays are always very traditional with lots of family around. I feel very blessed to be part of this tradition.

The Elk Grove real estate market has been very active for the past few months. We are continuing to see less inventory, multiple offers on most properties and homes selling very quickly - most in under 1 or 2 weeks!
Here are the numbers for the Elk Grove real estate market (95624, 95757 and 95758 zip code areas) -
We currently have 893 active residential lsingle family home istings in Elk Grove, with an average list price of $268,381. Of these 893 active listings, 92 are REO's (Real Estate Owned) or Bank Owned homes. In addition 197 of these are Active Short Sale listings and 467 are Active Short … (0 comments)

While I had a few minutes today, I sat contemplating the spirit of the Christmas season and how much I truly enjoy the season! One of my favorite things during the holiday seasons is the music. My family is very steeped in tradition during the holidays, which I think is important and that's probably why most of my favorite Christmas songs are long standing favorites.
These are not in any particular order...they are all songs that make me feel the Christmas season has truly arrived!

If you haven't had a chance to visit the new Sacramento Ice Rink in Midtown Sacramento, make sure to take a break and enjoy it. It has moved to 20th between J and K Streets. It's a little smaller but seems more quaint and I actually enjoyed it more. The lights in the trees and the music made it a festive atmosphere and all of the restaurants and shops around made it a great evening. So take the family and go enjoy!

Elk Grove Realtors spent yesterday building the first Christmas CanTree in Elk Grove at The Secret Garden on Elk Grove Boulevard in Old Town.
This is the 27th year for the SAR Christmas CanTree, which is one of the major charitable efforts of the Sacramento Association of REALTORS®. The Christmas CanTree Project routinely raises more than $65,000 per year. Since 1983, SAR has raised more than $2 million to feed Sacramento's hungry citizens.

Today my daughter, Nicolette Mode Clark, is off photographing a wedding in San Francisco. She has become such a gifted photographer and she really loves what she does. She seems to have found her passion for life in photography. Her wedding photographs always remind me what you can create when you really find your passion. This photograph was taken in front of the IMAX Theatre in downtown Sacramento and is just an example of the unique areas she finds to capture the moment and spirit of the weddings.

The Elk Grove real estate market has really under gone some changes in 2009! If you are out there trying to purchase a home in this market now, you are probably experiencing some difficulty due to these changes.
Just a year ago, our Elk Grove inventory stood at approximately 1100 active listings in the Elk Grove area (zip codes - 95624, 95757 and 95758) and today that number has dropped to approximately 900. This number is significant in itself, but the real SHIFT has come in what makes up those numbers.
