This morning was so productive I was almost late for an office meeting because I was on a roll!

DanOn arriving there I found that my internet would not connect. No problem, I didn't need it for the meeting, so I figured the tech guy could just quickly fix it afterward and I could get back to what I started this morning.

Two and a half hours later he said he had an idea of what the problem was, but since he's not trained in Macs I should take it to the Mac store. By that point the battery was almost drained, my phone battery was almost drained, and my battery was almost drained. I got home at 3:00 and still hadn't eaten lunch.

I plugged in my computer, grabbed my phone charger, and went to the coffee shop for lunch and networking with the owners. The networking was great, something productive came out of my day! After that it was off to the grocery store and then home where I knew the wifi was working and I could get on with what I started this morning, it was 5:00 pm by this point.

No luck. I called my boss to tell her my story and we talked for an hour, meanwhile I dusted off the PC laptop to send some emails. Following my husband coming home, dinner, and tending to the balcony plants I didn't get back to my computer until a little after 7:00. Still no internet. I finished up my emails on the PC until it started begging to be plugged in and I pulled out the old ethernet cable.

ZirconicussoI plugged the ethernet cable and Mac into it's docking station and told it to use the ethernet. No luck! My husband came over to look at it and guess what the stupid thing did? It found the wifi! …at 8:30 p.m. I try to hold to a strict bedtime of 9:00 p.m. so I can read in bed and be up by 5:00 for a good work out.

I feel like this day has been a complete waste. Now I have an appointment at the Mac store at 10:20 a.m. and an extended lunch meeting at 2:00 tomorrow. For once I wish tomorrow wasn't Friday, I just want to sit at my computer for a few uninterrupted hours and get some work done. :P

When have you had an unexpected "wasted" day? How did you feel better by the end of it?

Before my husband and I married and bought our condo we moved to a new rental unit about once a year. Every time we began unpacking he teased me because I would keep a screwdriver in my pocket and tighten every screw I could find. We've lived in…

Somewhere I was given the suggestion to do a Twitterview that is, an interview conducted soely through Twitter. It sounded intriguing, so I asked the owner of a new business in our neighborhood if she would like to be my guinea pig. She said yes!..
May 16: The Dangers of Stopping

Last week was both fantastic and dangerous. We realized that we had no way to pull a list of all of our clients from our database if we wanted to email just them and no one else. We already labeled all of the agents in our database, but our…
