Business Week's cover story this week addresses The Pet Economy - Americans spend an astonishing $41 billion a year on their furry friends, double the amount spent a decade ago.  That's more than what Americans spend annually on movies ($10.8 billion), video games ($11.6 billion), and music ($10.6 billion) combined.    And if that's not enough, annual pet spending is expected to hit $52 billion in the next two years.
Which leads me to the question - can the average, ordinary pet owner really afford all of this? Or do extravagances like $430 indoor pet potties, $30-an-ounce pet perfume, and $225 pet trench coats go straight on credit cards, not to … (3 comments)

If anyone is still wondering who the Dog is on the back of the bus - It's us, The Pet Realty Network !
We were so happy that Rudy and Joe stopped in Naples for a quick brunch, fascinating blog discussions, and of course a tour of some of Naples' finest properties. 
After Rudy's waffle-house-fly story (if you haven't heard about it yet, ask him, it's well worth it),  Rhona took them by the infamous "Zillow house" on Gordon Drive and Joe's favorite was the pink "flamingo house".  He has a few pictures if you want to see it.
