hampstead new hampshire: localism works...I know - 04/28/07 10:03 AM
This post was inspired by Neal Bloom's post Localism works...I think

My recent very local post about Hate was widely read by local people and it had the most public comments of any of my posts, ever. It was picked up by the The Union Leader a New Hampshire newspaper and that created recognition beyond anything I ever expected. Yesterday they did a follow up interview to be published tomorrow.
Localism...trust me it works.  Take a virtual tour … (9 comments)

hampstead new hampshire: Hampstead New Hampshire Playgound Support Needed - 04/05/07 07:09 PM
Hampstead residents help make a dream come true!
Now that the towns people have passed a warrant article and businesses have signed up to help support the proposed playground the Hampstead Mothers club goal of building a playground at the Depot Road complex is fast becoming a reality.
However much help is still needed to make this dream come true.
The club is putting on a fun comedy hypnosis night at the Atkinson Country Club next week and selling walkway bricks as well as looking for business sponsorships. Please consider helping to support the club and the children of Hampstead.
Every penny matters!

hampstead new hampshire: Do I really sound like that? - 03/17/07 12:41 PM
Well, I was going to do short little blog about my 1st YouTube video attempt. I was feeling bad because I couldn't go out and help my very strong hubby shovel all that wet cold snow. So I thought I'd "film" the event!  But then I played it back and was shocked at how weird I sounded...in fact I don't think I sound like me at all.  I'm not sure what I thought I sounded like but certainly not like what I heard.  So I asked my very strong handsome hubby...If I really sound like that?? And he smiled and said … (15 comments)

hampstead new hampshire: Southern New Hampshire Living! - 01/21/07 06:46 PM
I love living in Southern New Hampshire. To me it offers a little bit of everything. This is Part 1 of a 2 part series on lakes in Southern NH. My husband and I are Water people...we love the ocean and the many lakes found in our state. That's part of the reason we stay here in New Hampshire...we can drive 30 minutes and be at the ocean...Hampton Beach is a funky little beach town and we just love it! All summer long there are free concerts right on the beach at Hampton and every weekend boasts some pretty cool fireworks. … (9 comments)

hampstead new hampshire: Voting for the 1st time in Salem NH - 11/07/06 07:37 PM

Today my mom and dad voted for the first time!
They became citizens on January 18 2006. They were sworn in by US district Chief Judge Steven McAuliffe (husband of Christa our NH teacher in space who died when the Challenger blew up), they were amongst 369 newly selected citizens of the USA.  It was indeed a proud moment as you can see by the beaming faces of Hans and Elfriede. The ceremony was very special ...... which will not be forgotten by those of us watching.
Today as they went to vote they were a little bit nervous- the whole ballot thing but … (5 comments)
