ILovePortlandMaine.com Photo of the Week - 27lb Lobster - 02/24/12 05:48 PM
Wow... I love Lobster and love Boothbay Harbor but I have never ever seen a lobster this size before. The largest I have ever attempted to eat was four pounder and my husband needed to crack it open for me using a sledge hammer.
I think I'll stick to my two pounders!

Time to pack my bags and head south. Love - love the beaches in Florida and I am so over due for the feel of warm sand in between my toes. I can just picture it now, sun tan lotion, a good book and relaxing at the beach.
That would be so sweet!

How to Handle a Low ball offer
Finally an offer comes in and… wham it’s way below what they’ve expected.  They want to walk away, tell the buyer to go pound sand, yell and scream at their REALTOR but instead they need to take a deep breath and remember that a bird in the hand is worth more than two in the bush and look at the offer with the following three tips in mind!

Tech Savvy Agents | Does it matter to you - 02/20/12 07:57 AM
Selling your Southern NH or Seacoast area home
How can a tech savvy agent make a difference in the marketing of your Southern NH or Seacoast area home?  The real estate market has undergone some major changes and with it so has how consumers find real estate and how they engage with REALTORS. Information and videos about the community and lifestyle of area they are interested in as well as homes are what they demand.  Gone are the days of grandma's (full disclosure, I am a grandma) real estate market and just pounding a sign in the ground and a lock … (2 comments)

Southern NH and the Seacoast Area Lifestyle - 02/18/12 11:46 AM
Southern NH and the Seacoast Area Lifestyle
We totally love living in Southern NH! Love the lifestyle, love being near the coast and close enough to take day trips to the glorious while mountains of New Hampshire.  Our passion during our "off" time is to jump into our motor home and camp somewhere for a few days. Being virtual agents and connected 24-7 via our mobile devices means we work long hours but that also means we can work from anywhere.

One of our favorite places to visit is Bar Harbor Maine, we camp on a lovely spot … (2 comments)

Finding a Good Real Estate Agent to Sell Your Southern NH or Seacoast Area Home
It's not always easy to find a "good" real estate agent to sell your home. Where do you start? How do you know the agent knows there stuff?  Are all agents created equally? Is there a difference between an agent and a REALTOR? How do you find the best real estate agent? Is it the one with the most signs, the biggest office or makes the most money?
It's a big step and getting the right agent to sell your southern NH or seacoast area home … (2 comments)

And The Survey Says??? - 02/11/12 02:46 PM
I like the fact the 71% percent thought it was a good time to buy a home but really wish the market would balance itself out so it would also be a good time to sell.
Great information via George Souto!
Via George Souto NMLS# 65149 FHA, CHFA, VA Mortgages Connecticut:
A recent survey by Fannie Mae has reveled some interesting results.  The Fannie Mae surveyed reveled the following:
That 28% of Americans believe that in 2012 home prices will rise. However, they believe that interest rates will remain where they are. A small percent think that interest rates will go … (2 comments)

Sellers, Please Don't Do This! - 02/11/12 02:34 PM
Some excellent advice for would be sellers. You need to remove yourslef- detach as you are not selling "your" home but rather a house that will soon be someone eleses home.

Via Caroline Fitzgerald - Real Estate Client Prep (Real Estate Client Prep, Easy Internet-Based Tool for Agents):
Many, if not most, homeowners make one or more of these mistakes when it comes to selling their house and it typically costs them dearly.
1. Selling Their "Home" - Wait a minute, they ARE trying to sell their home, right? So how can "selling their home" be a mistake?
From the very moment … (1 comments)

Fatal Mistakes Agents Make on Social Media - Listening to the SEO Expert - 02/07/12 08:54 AM
Don't Listen To The SEO Expert
It's simple... the SEO Expert you hired is most likely not a licensed real estate agent and in reality has no clue to the licensing regulations, the Code of Ethics, Fair Housing, Steering and other regulations that govern the behavior of real estate professionals.
Listening to that SEO expert without taking into consideration the rules and regulations that as licensed real estate professionals we have to abide by and of course  we know that Article 12 to the NAR Code of Ethics applies to ALL REALTORS no matter what state they live in and while … (9 comments)
