My husband Jay McGillicuddy is an avid sports fan and today is a big day for him.  He posted about it on his Real Estate Glofer Blog and I thought I'd share it with you all!

jay mcgillicuddy: A New Hampshire Seacoast | Ocean - Sand and Snow - 01/21/12 04:26 PM
Woke up this morning to snow falling, that's two days in a row for us!  We probably only got about 2 inches in total but that is enough to make the roads messy and treacherous when drivers are being stupid. So far we've had a fairly mild winter with hardly any snow fall but these last two days have made everything nice and white. Yesterday, on my way to work I took a slight detour and rode out to the beach.  I wanted to shoot a few videos of Hampton Beach covered with snow and it was so pretty albeit very … (4 comments)

jay mcgillicuddy: Seabrook New Hampshire A Hidden Gem - 01/03/12 08:32 PM
Seabrook Beach A Hidden Gem I love stopping by Seabrrok beach on my way home from the office. I  love how pretty the beach is and could just walk there for hours at low tide. I love walking under the Hampton Bridge and walking along the "ocean" side of the beach.
Seabrook New Hampshire borders the state of Massachusetts and is the start of our awesome 18 miles of New Hampshire coastline. Seabrook Beach is one of New Hampshire’s true gems and one that not many people know about. It has two miles of spectacular white sandy shoreline and a … (2 comments)

jay mcgillicuddy: Prudential Verani Web stats - 10/09/08 01:05 PM
Our internet web stats for the month of September 2007 vs September of 2008 is a clear indication that the housing slowdown is real. Interestingly, while looking at the broker showings on our listings it shows me that showing are way up compared to the same time frame last year. Also, our Featured Home page on the front page of our site is featuring our listings at a much higher rate than this time last year. Unique visitors are down a little but having over 20,000 unique visitors is not bad. A unique visitor is a visitor whose computer IP address … (4 comments)

jay mcgillicuddy: New Hampshire Association of`REALTORS convention Installation pics - 09/23/08 03:26 PM
Last night was the installation banquette held at the Mount Washing Hotel and Resort Ballroom and sitting at the head table were three people well known in the Active Rain community!
Ann Cummings was sworn in as 2009 chair of the NHAR Professional Development committee and will now once again serve on the executive committee.
I look forward to being on the leadership team with Ann and all the other members of the team.
I was sworn in as the NHAR 2009 President Elect and will automatically become president in 2010. Sitting next to me was my hubby and fellow blogger … (9 comments)

jay mcgillicuddy: Happy Birthday...Jay McGillicuddy...June 3rd - 06/02/08 09:46 PM
Happy Birthday Jay!!!!
54 years ago you were born in a little town in Germany and you were picked specially by your parents to be their son, then 36 years later I picked you to be my husband.
I've never looked back and our journey together has made me very happy!
I hope you have a great birthday, playing Golf and then enjoying a lobster dinner...topped off with a long barefoot walk along the beach.
Sounds perfect..doesn't it? Just like you! I love you Jay... have a very happy birthday honey. May your birthday be everything you hope and dream … (41 comments)

jay mcgillicuddy: Oh boy...another meme! - 06/01/08 08:07 PM
I was lucky enough to have been tagged by two awesome bloggers. First was Mariana Wagner of Colardo Springs Real Estate and then Fairbanks Alaska Real Estate Blog Jesse Clifton of Spouses Selling Houses fame.
Truth be told I tried to ignore it, kept putting it off but then my husband and fellow blogger Jay McGillicuddy got tagged and he actually wrote a meme so I knew I had to do my part.
This will be my third meme! If you're so inclined you can read my first one here and my second one here. This meme was a little easier … (23 comments)

jay mcgillicuddy: 2nd day at Mid-Year in DC - 05/14/08 09:15 AM
Tuesday I took the all day REBAC Auction course, again so I could be certified to teach it in NH. The test was a little harder than I expected but I think I did okay!
After the class I went to the NAR Bloggers lounge over at the Omni Shoreham where I met fellow blogger Daniel Rothamel from TheRealEstateZebra.com.
I had a blast talking with Daniel and Jay also joined us after he came back from the member director forum.
We ended up doing did a live video stream from the Bloggers lounge.
It was very nice meeting Daniel, Ian Smith … (6 comments)

jay mcgillicuddy: Please help me decide... - 10/07/07 07:55 AM
I can't decide which one I like better!
MY domain Monika McGillicuddy.com has always pointed to a crappy static page. Not to a fancy website or even to my blogs.
It has something to do with the subdirectory and Wordpress being set up in there originally, when as Jay tells me, he didn't know any better.
Anyway long story short for a long time monikamcgillicuddy.com went no where. Then Yesterday morning I read a post by Cheryl Johnson about java script and rss and I got very excited!  Of course I was clueless about what she was talking about so I sent my … (45 comments)

jay mcgillicuddy: Washington DC Mishap - 05/31/07 08:02 AM
DC here we come, or so we thought!
All started out well as we left home full of excitement about driving down to DC in our 40 foot motor home. You may have read Jay's post about our DC adventure let me give you a womans take on it. Before you read this you should reads Jay's just so you can compare our stories. Plus Jay has more of the gruesome details...
We left home a few hours earlier than we had planned on Friday May 11th, which was a very good thing as I would have really panicked being broken down … (25 comments)

jay mcgillicuddy: Lobster and Wine - 05/29/07 10:00 PM
Jay and I spent spent Memorial Day weekend up in Boothbay Harbor Maine.
After a week in DC attending the NAR conference (blog post coming) and doing all REALTOR related things. Plus a a very busy week teaching Ethics and GRI 103 a long weekend in Boothbay Harbor was a real treat! I think I was real estated out and really needed a break.
Not only did we treat ourselves to some yummy fresh off  the boat Maine lobster we enjoyed relaxing in our motor home and exploring new locations. Thank goodness for digital cameras, I think between the two of … (18 comments)

jay mcgillicuddy: Power Of Active Rain- Patriotism Prevails over Protest - 04/22/07 03:45 PM
The Power of the RainLast week I wrote a little post about when hate came to my town. While it wasn't a featured Post...nor widely read by Rainers, it had a life of it's own.
My little post traveled, far and wide, beyond the borders of Hampstead, New Hampshire.  A college student in Newton, Mass. found it and sent the link home to her mother in Hampstead. A woman in Maine who read it, was really touched by it, felt compelled to let me know how it made her feel. She told me that she passed my words on to others … (44 comments)
