Graduation - It is that time of year when the seniors at our local high school get to don the cap and gown and walk the aisle to adulthood.  This yer we have a daughter who is graduating.  We spent yesterday with family and her high school friends-- had a wonderful afternoon- barbecue- live band(her brothers-setup outside in the yard-she has 6 brothers).  Life changes very quickly and some  changes are forever.  This time reminded me of all the changes we all encounter.

Here is the reason I am so happy today!  You know I love the 4 seasons that we have here in Montana-- this photo was taken in February-Libby ,Mt
- BRRRRR pretty , very white, fluffy and fun..but this photo was taken TODAY!  The natural wonders of weather--  different worlds both beautiful in their own right. It may get up to 89 degrees but usually cools off about 35 degrees by night fall. So the evenings are always crisp at around 48 - 50 degrees . REMOTE BREWERY CLOSING DOWN - 05/27/09 08:52 PM
Lang Creek Brewery of Marion, Montana-- touted as the most remote brewery in the world is closing .
I was on my way back from Kalispell, Montana along US Highway 2 today and saw a sign-- hand-written-- kinda like a yard sale sign that simply said Land Creek Brewery is closing- stop by for closing sale.  Well; Always curious I turned down the dirt road, crossed a small Land Creek and a little later went into the Tap Room. THE PLAY-OFFS AS THEY SHOULD BE!  I do mean that- this is what play-off games should look like.  Each game is full of tension and momentum.  with the leads not out of reach for the opposing team -the last few NBA games have been exciting to watch- fun even!   Maybe " MY TEAM" did not win- but what a game!. Well- It was a long week-end BUT a good one at that!  I hope that most of you had a nice week-end. I for one mixed family, work, and barbeque, with a little Grand boy fishing trip in just for the right mix.
 
As I drove through town on Memorial Day the US Flags had been put on our business around town by the VFW fellows. Good job! My hat goes off to them. For $25.00 a year-- they faithfully place flags at our business for us.
They dontate THEIR TIME AND GAS MONEY- the $25 is a fund raiser!

The Kootenai Falls located in between Libby and Troy Montana .The falls are known for many amazing attractions .People come from all over the world . The movie river wild had been shot cumming down the torturous rapids. Many daring avid water sportsman have challenged the river and survived some died trying . One of the attractions is an old swinging bridge to cross the river over looking the falls.  The strongest of swimmers have jumped off thinking they would make it back to shore. WELL- THE VOTES ARE IN AND APPARENTLY THERE WERE ALMOST 100,000 MILLION VOTERS.
Chris- was the winner!  What a show - this last American Idol of the season was. 
The number of HUGE named performers were amazing and I was impressed!
It was not the long 2 hour that should have only been one hour special that I thought it would be. Very entertaining and now an American extravaganza like the super bowl - I guess for the advertiser anyway.

Well- it is down to two and the tonight is the Grand Finale!
Two very talented fellows who sung their hearts out  last night.
It seems to me that ADAM is by far the most talented-- but that does not mean he will win.
CHRIS - has charm, simplicity.
Very interested that two so very different fellows are neck and neck.

New Credit Card Rules - 05/20/09 12:44 AM
New Credit Cards Rules-Some of the banks are suggesting that these rules will actually cost those with good credit more. Have any of you heard that this will be so?  Some spokesman for the banker's association say this and proponents say that this is not true. 
Apparently -- they will not be able to change the interest rate without a 60 day notice. And many oather changes that sound more fair.

JUST WATCHED A COMMERCIAL ABOUT A SHOE COMPANY THAT gives AWAY ONE PAIR OF SHOES FOR EVERY PAIR OF SHOES THAT IT SELLS! The company gives shoes to children who have none-- as in NONE. 
WOW- WHAT A PLAN- WHAT A PROMOTIONAL IDEA! I immediately thought that I want to know where to buy a pair-- I want to help - I want to support and do my part.
It made me wonder-- how can we -- in our business give a similar promotion?

It is the that wonderful time of the year-- time to plan the family vacation! The summer vacation -if you will.  You may have had plans and now with the economy are your plans changing?
The news recently stated that more people are staying home- due to the economy.  I was just wondering about the real estate market and how it is effecting our realtor's summer plans.
I - for one have two family reunions this summer. I will be making both.  So I will be supporting our ecomony! Have a good summer vacation!

When looking out side Saturday morning and having coffee my husband noticed SOMETHING in the top of the trees ! Today is Armed Forces Day!  I wonder how it used to be celebrated?  I do not know about your town but are there going to be parades -- are the children going to be waving the American Flag?
I wonder about our  towns, our children, ourselves.  Who even knows?  Is it splashed on the media carnival wagon of "things so important we will flood your senses with it"?

American Idol - 05/12/09 10:49 PM
So my 2 daughters make a point to be at home in order to watch American Idol. I'm not sure anyone else watches as they work on their computer but it is a nice combination for me.  Well - Amercian Idol is down to 3 contestant.
The fact that 60 million Americans will actually vote on something like this - amazes me. 
It is like the power of the interenet only on TV.

Mother Nature is wonderful and we have had an opportunity to photograph her beauty.
Here is a seldom seen owl-- When did owls get so few and far between? I do not really know.
This fellow is all owls are cracked up to be - he even entertianed with the traditional HOOT HOOT

MONTANA BEAUTY-- AHHH NATURAL - 05/12/09 02:05 AM
Here is the beauty that we have come to know as MONTANA!
This is a photo that we took in the town of West Yellowstone at a Grizzly bear and wolf study area.
The bear was walking freely in a compound with a large trench separating it from us. That WAS A GOOD THING.
This bear was relocated to the facility after becoming a problem bear in the wild. (aka--human interaction). If you ever go through Yellowstone Naitonal Park- be sure to come out in the town of West Yellowstone and do not miss the opportuniyt to study these great animals. … (3 comments)

wow  Here is the KING as far as the wildlife is concerned! The bull elk are magnificent creatures. They are truly beautiful animals. Strong ,long legged and wonderfully colored these animals can be found in the higher mountain areas- steep and difficult terrain make then difficult for the hunters who try to find them in the fall. Grosbeaks are not Gross - 05/05/09 10:33 AM
Well- this rainy spring day brought back the Grosbeaks to our bird feeders in NW Montana. They are so colorful and fill the deck and skies with bright yellow, black and white.  AND While their beaks are large conical shaped -- they are certainly not GROSS!  While just 2 visited us today- last year we were up to 14 (must have been after the babies were born) So I will just sip my cup of tea and start the day with a natural high!

Rainbow's usually mark the pot of gold-- or at least that is how the saying goes. Well, I suppose you say that is true with this rainbow.  There is an old mine up Granite Creek Canyon called the Luke N Hazel Mine. It has been closed for years and years. When I looked up the canyon and saw the end of the rainbow clearly marking the location of the mine- I thought - well maybe the saying was true! You see the Luke n Hazel mine was an old (like during the days of cowboys-old) GOLD MINE!

NORTHWEST Montana can boast some record mule deer! This however is not one of them --- YET!
On our way up to a wonderful deep cold water lake- we spotted this baby. My husband being a quick husband jumped out and took this little guys photo as he ran away- he just stopped and turned for this great pose!
