maine lake boat horsepower: Maine Lake Property...What About Jet Skis Or Boat Motor Horsepower Limits? - 10/15/09 08:26 AM

Some southern Maine real estate ads post the "no jet skis" warning label on waterfront property for sale. What's the deal in Northern Maine, in Aroostook County or Northern Penobscot and Washington Counties?
Well, other than Timoney Lake in southern Aroostook that says no go to over 10 horsepower motors, we enjoy the lakes with seadoos, jet skis or party pontoon boats, inboard and outboard vessels. The wrong person on a high powered jet ski or speed boat that is drinking is dangerous on any lake. But with only a handful of boats, we don't have a problem with lake congestion, … (1 comments)
