The Maine fall foliage colors are getting richer, more varied as the days go by. Major wind last night may threaten to whip the leaves off the trees before they turn the brilliant colors we enjoy in our drives around Northern Maine, Aroostook Countywith real estate customers.
This shot to the right captured after this morning's showing of a Drews Lake Maine log lake home we have for sale.
The possible buyers from Florida complained of intense humidity and heat and needing a Maine second vacation home to run away to summers.

drivers raced down
Derby Hill
in Houlton Maine June 21st! And the winner of the Stock division was Sara Heath..for Super Stock Lucas Grant came out on top! Safe race, families helps the drivers and a big party afterward at Community Park!

Over 50 racers from 8 years old and up learn "The Thrill Of The Hill" this weekend. Race starts at 8am on Derby Hill...a specially engineered race course designed after the world series of racing event in Akron Ohio! Over 60 volunteers and proud excited parents and racers make the event a fun family event in Houlton Maine! Trial runs and tech day start Friday June 20th at 3pm. Plan to see the event...racers are paired off according to a lottery pick for "heats" and race each other twice, changing lanes and wheels after each phase of the heat. The … (2 comments)

Year 13 for the Northern Maine Soap Box Derby race on Derby Hill. Youngsters 8 to 17 learn "the thrill of the hill" with gravity racer stock, super stock and master race kit cars. Houlton Maine's 2008 race is June 21st.My daughter Amanda and son Alex won different years during the five year largest race reign. Close to 200 cars raced during the 1998 and 2001 years! Consider sponsoring a car in your local and if thee is not one, start one. Watch the video I threw together from 2007's race on You Tube!
